Celery is a common ingredient in our daily meals, and it is widely planted in our country. With the development of technology, in addition to soil culture, the soilless cultivation technology of celery is also relatively mature. Let's learn about it together.

Introduction to soilless cultivation techniques of celery

1. Selection of varieties

Celery is divided into solid and hollow, and solid varieties are more suitable for soilless cultivation, so we can choose varieties such as Lvye 1, white stem celery, Liuchuan, Italian Dahe j winter celery, Jinnan celery, Cornell, 619 Tianjin horse factory Changqin and so on.

two。 Prepare for

Celery can be cultivated by NFT, DFT, rock wool or other substrate. The cultivation of celery with geosynclinal rock wool has not only low cost and good effect, but also suitable for the conditions of our country, so it is easy to be popularized and applied in production. First of all, the ground is leveled and the soil layer is compacted to make a trough with a depth of 20cm, a width of 60-100cm and a length of about 10m. The trough is extended from north to south, the slope is 1:70, and the slot spacing is 30cm. Then covered with a layer of 0.lmm thick polyethylene film, filled with rock wool, vermiculite or river sand and other substrates.

3. Planting

Celery seedlings were planted according to the row spacing of 10cm plants (the row spacing of celery plants was 20cm × 30cm). One seedling was planted in each hole, and 40 000-50 000 seedlings could be planted each time. Provide liquid in time after planting, generally do not need to slow seedling.

4. Temperature

Generally, the suitable temperature is 18-25 ℃ in daytime and 12-15 ℃ at night. The temperature of nutrient solution is 18-20 ℃. The root temperature is lower than 15 ℃ for a long time, which is disadvantageous to the growth. In addition, the peak growth period of liquid supply 2-3 times a day (drip irrigation or irrigation), can be appropriately reduced in the early and later stages. If the nutrient solution is not recycled, it needs to be watered every few days.

5. Disease prevention and cure

In the process of planting, we should also pay attention to the damage of celery early blight (spot disease), which will be more serious under cold and wet conditions. To do a good job of prevention in advance, select disease-tolerant celery varieties, strengthen fertilizer and water management; if the initial stage of the disease should be timely removal of diseased leaves and spraying agents.

The cultivation of celery is simple and suitable for soilless cultivation. Generally speaking, there is nothing wrong with mastering the techniques introduced above.
