Lei bamboo is a type of bamboo, mainly distributed in Zhejiang and other areas, is a better bamboo species for shooting, so what is the planting technology of Lei bamboo?

I. introduction to the growth habits of Phyllostachys praecox

Phyllostachys praecox belongs to Gramineae and Phyllostachys pubescens. The maximum length of bamboo is 10 meters. The young bamboo is dark green, and the adult bamboo pole is generally green, grayish green or yellowish green. The shooting period of Phyllostachys praecox begins in March and florescence from April to May.

Lei bamboo is native to Zhejiang, China, and is currently planted in Jiangxi, Shanghai, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangsu, Hubei, Hunan and Guangdong.

Lei Zhu Xi is fertile, afraid of stagnant water and has few fine roots, so it is suitable to grow in the area with an average annual temperature of 15.30 ℃ and annual precipitation of 1400 mm. The planting soil should be slightly acidic or neutral sandy loam with sunny, close to water source, loose quality and good drainage and air permeability. Phyllostachys praecox can be planted in dry land, four sides and river beaches, and it is also suitable for cultivation in ordinary red soil and yellow soil.

2. Planting techniques of Phyllostachys praecox

1. Land preparation

After selecting the planting area, the land in the area needs to be turned over deeply, remove large stones, tree stumps, etc., and then apply base fertilizer.

Drains should be opened on flat land to prevent stagnant water. Dig about 60 holes per mu, 80 cm long, 50 cm wide and 40 cm deep, and then apply foot fertilizer. About 25 kg of base fertilizer was applied to each hole.

2. Planting

The mother bamboo is planted in the dug hole, and then covered with straw, bamboo leaves and other mulch.

The planting time is the best in the rainy season in June, the survival rate of afforestation is high, the whip is fast, and bamboo shoots can be produced in the same year.

When the mother bamboo is placed in the hole, the whip root should be stretched, the bottom is closely connected with the soil, and then filled with topsoil. Pay attention to the solid around the bamboo, do not hit on the mother bamboo, in case of injury.

3. Fertilization

After the bamboo shoots grow into bamboo, the appropriate amount of fertilizer can be applied according to the growth situation, and attention should be paid to the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests in the later stage.

The main diseases and insect pests are arbuscular disease, shell insect, aphid, bamboo borer, coal fouling disease and so on.
