New things from Yutian in Tangshan cabbage sells for mutton
Recently, Chinese cabbage from the Black Elvis Farmers' Cooperative in Yutian County has become popular in the Beijing market, with a sky-high price of about 25 yuan per tree, basically the same as the current market price of mutton.
The cooperative's 300 mu vegetable garden belongs to the Beijing Municipal Government's "vegetable basket" project. Under the technical guidance of the Beijing vegetable Research and Development Center and the Yutian County Bureau of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, the cooperative uses cutting-edge science and technology such as drip irrigation and sound fertilizer, and adopts pollution-free standardized production. The agricultural products produced are completely up to the green pollution-free standard level. The "Ciyu" brand baojian cabbage in Yutian, cultivated by the cooperative boutique garden, won the "Gold Award" of China Modern Agricultural Commodity Fair in 2012 and was known as the "King of Cabbage".
