Strawberry is a kind of fruit that is often eaten in daily life, and its sour and sweet special flavor is very popular. With the progress of cultivation technology, strawberries can also be bought in winter. Here, let's introduce the soilless cultivation techniques of strawberries.

There are many methods of soilless cultivation, which can be divided into two categories: one is hydroponic culture, which is a cultivation method in which plant roots are continuously or discontinuously immersed in nutrient solution. The second is solid substrate culture, the main purpose of using substrate is to replace soil and fix plants, so that the underground and aboveground parts of strawberries can grow normally, which requires that the culture medium should have good physical properties, loose ventilation, strong water storage capacity and disease-free insect weeds, while the nutrient solution is mainly to provide all kinds of nutrients necessary for the growth and development of strawberries.

There are three methods of hydroponic culture of strawberries, one is the nutrient liquid membrane method, the principle is to make a very thin nutrient layer circulate through the crop root system, which ensures the continuous supply of crop water and nutrients as well as fresh oxygen to the root system. Avoid strawberry roots growing in nutrient solution for a long time in ordinary hydroponic cultivation, resulting in hypoxia, affecting root respiration and, in serious cases, causing root death.

The second method of hydroponics is floating plate capillary method. The floating board is placed in the cultivation bed with deeper nutrient solution, so that the environmental conditions of the rhizosphere are relatively stable, the temperature change is reduced, the oxygen supply of the root system is sufficient, and the supply of nutrient solution is not affected by the power outage. The third is aerosol culture. The spray device is used to atomize the nutrient solution and spray directly on the surface of the plant root system, so that the root system grows in an aerosol environment full of nutrient solution.

The solid substrate culture of strawberry refers to the cultivation of strawberry with the above-mentioned suitable raw materials instead of soil. There are many kinds of substrates in soilless culture. According to the composition of the substrate, strawberry can be divided into organic substrate and inorganic substrate. The main method is trough cultivation, that is, the substrate is loaded into a certain volume of cultivation tank to grow strawberries. Rock wool cultivation, that is, strawberries are planted in a certain volume of rock wool, so that they are rooted and fixed in rock wool, absorb water and nutrients, grow and develop, blossom and bear fruit. The strawberry pot cultivation method, that is, the strawberry is cultivated by filling the substrate in the flowerpot, the nutrient solution is supplied from the upper part of the flowerpot, the discharge pipe is set up in the lower part, and the discharged nutrient solution is recovered and reused in the liquid reservoir.

These are the main techniques of the current soilless cultivation of strawberries, but if we want to carry out large-scale soilless cultivation of strawberries, we should follow the experts or specific guidance manuals according to the specific conditions.
