First, the growth habits of multi-headed carnations

The multi-headed carnation originated in the Mediterranean region and was introduced by China. Now it is cultivated all over the country, and the flowers and colors are white, pink, yellow, red and so on.

Multi-headed carnations like the growth environment with dry volume, and the environment also needs to maintain sufficient sunshine and good ventilation, so that multi-headed carnations can grow better.

Multi-headed carnations are not resistant to heat, dryness and low temperature, so we should pay attention to watering frequency, heat preservation in hot summer and indoor breeding in winter when the temperature is relatively low.

Second, how to raise multi-headed carnations?

1. Soil: select slightly alkaline clayey soil which is rich in humus, good drainage and fertile.

2. Fertilization: rarefied fertilizer and water is usually applied once every 10 days during the growing period.

3. Watering: you can water more during the growing and blooming season and keep the soil moist at ordinary times.

4. Others: pick the heart reasonably according to the growth of carnations and pay attention to the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests.

In order to make the carnation grow more branches and flowers, the carnation needs to be coring from the seedling stage. The period of coring is when the seedlings grow 8 to 9 pairs of leaves and the lateral branches grow more than 4 pairs of leaves.

It is better to have 15 lateral branches of 12Mel in the whole plant, only one bud at the top of each side branch during bud pregnancy, and all the buds and lateral branches germinated in the axils below the top should be removed in time.

The common diseases and insect pests of carnation are Botrytis cinerea, bud rot, root rot, calyx rot, rust and so on. Dysen zinc can be used to control calyx rot, 5 oxidation rust prevention and rust prevention, and other diseases can be treated with benzoate zinc, carbendazim or carbendazim before planting. When it comes to red spiders and aphids, it is usually killed with 1000 times of dimethoate emulsion.
