Millet, the peeled fruit of millet, is also called millet. It was first planted in the Yellow River region of China. With the improvement of people's living standards, gradually pay attention to the importance of health, from always eating rice to now often have to eat millet. So what is the planting technology of millet?

I. selection of sites

Millet can be planted in clay and sandy soil. in order to achieve the effect of high yield, stable yield and high quality, good soil conditions are needed to meet the requirements of water, fertilizer, gas and heat. Millet is suitable to grow in slightly acidic and neutral soil, like to be dry and afraid of waterlogging, especially in the later growth stage, when the soil moisture is too much, it is easy to rot roots. Therefore, it is appropriate to choose fertile loam or sandy loam with high topography, convenient drainage, deep soil layer and soft texture.

Second, planting time

Millet in cultivation season and rotation can be divided into spring cultivation and summer cultivation. The sowing time of spring cultivation is early April in Huang-Huai region, and the harvest time is mid-late July. The following crops can only grow late autumn crops with a relatively short growth period. In summer cultivation, the sowing time is in the middle and late June after wheat harvest. As long as it is well managed, a good harvest can be achieved by delaying sowing until the first and middle of July. At present, millet cultivation is mainly in summer, and spring cultivation is mostly in the northern one-season cultivation area.

Third, sowing method

There are two sowing methods: sowing and strip sowing. Strip sowing is dominant in high-yield fields and sowing is dominant in western arid areas. The sowing rate of sowing is 1000~I500 grams per 667m2, and the sowing amount of strip sowing is 1000 grams.

IV. Field management

After the seeds are sown, it is necessary to do a good job in seedling management. Interseedling work should be carried out when the seedlings grow 5-6 leaves, weeding in the field should be carried out frequently, and irrigation water should be ensured in times of drought so as not to make it dehydrated for a long time.
