Fujian Gutian won the national demonstration zone for the quality and safety of edible fungi for export.

A few days ago, the General Administration of quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued a notice on the publication of the list of national demonstration zones for the quality and safety of food and agricultural products for export in 2015. Gutian County, Fujian Province was on the list. It has become one of the 236 demonstration zones in China and the first national demonstration zone for the quality and safety of edible fungi for export in Fujian Province.

Gutian County is the "capital of edible fungi in China". More than 80% of the farmers in the county are engaged in the production and marketing of edible fungi, with more than 200,000 people directly engaged in the edible mushroom industry, and the income of edible fungi accounts for 1% of the net income of farmers. 36 fungi have been developed and produced in the county, which is the county with the most complete variety of edible fungi in the country. In 2014, Gutian County produced nearly 750000 tons of edible fungi, with an output value of 4.38 billion yuan. In the first half of 2015, Gutian edible fungi exported 3909.02 tons to countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route, with a value of 71.0289 million US dollars.

It is reported that the AQSIQ will give six preferential measures to the national demonstration zone for the quality and safety of food and agricultural products for export. it includes simplifying filing and registration procedures, giving priority to external recommendation and registration, facilitating export inspection and release, promoting overseas customs clearance, strengthening technical services, and coordinating policy and financial support. Benefiting from the export demonstration preferential policy, Gutian edible fungus can take advantage of this east wind, set sail, further explore and develop, open up domestic and foreign trade markets, and build an international brand of "Gutian edible mushroom".
