Colorful millennium wood is a kind of small tree, which is generally used as a potted ornamental. Its leaves are very beautiful, because they are colored, and they really look bright and colorful. So, what are the breeding methods of colorful thousand-year-old wood?

1. Soil

The root system of colorful thousand-year-old wood is developed, white and tender, with more branch roots and few whisker roots, and its root system has poor ability to absorb fertilizer and water. Therefore, the soil with strong permeability and ventilation is suitable for breeding colorful millennium wood, such as peat soil, loose mountain mud, peat soil and so on.

2. Temperature

Colorful thousand-year-old wood likes a warm environment, the suitable growth temperature is between 20-35 ℃, and the winter temperature can not be lower than 10 ℃, otherwise heat preservation measures should be taken. Because the outdoor temperature in the south is relatively high, and there is heating in the north, colorful millennium wood can survive the winter safely. But the winter in the central part of our country is not so warm. We may have to put a double-layer plastic film on the colorful thousand-year-old wood and put it in the indoor south window. When the temperature rises to more than 10 ℃, it can be opened at noon and tied up sooner or later; when the temperature rises to about 15 ℃, the plastic film can be completely removed.

3. Lighting

Colorful thousand-year-old wood likes the environment with plenty of light, and it can be put in the bright part of the room at ordinary times. Direct sunlight can be accepted in spring, autumn and winter, but it is too strong in summer to accept direct sunlight.

4. Watering

Colorful millennium wood likes a humid environment, so it is necessary to spray some soft water fog spots on the leaves in summer and autumn (acid water and Rain Water are better) to keep the air relative humidity at about 80%. But its roots are thin and white, so it is appropriate for the basin soil not to be dry or wet. When watering, we should wait for the basin soil to be dry before watering it until the humidity is moderate, not stagnant water or too wet.

5. Fertilization

To fertilize colorful millennium wood, we should apply thin fertilizer frequently. When the temperature rises above 20 ℃, fertilize once a week, mainly nitrogen, or some imported compound fertilizer. Do not apply raw fertilizer, thick fertilizer, do not touch the leaf fertilizer, so as not to damage the leaves.
