Peach is one of the fruits that people often eat, its meat is delicious, nutritious, old people and children like to eat. Moreover, the growth adaptability of peach trees is strong, and the planting prospect is also good. The following is to introduce the planting techniques of peach seedlings.

1. Planting

Peach seedlings can be planted from February to April in spring or from August to September in autumn. generally, the survival rate is high after the land is thawed in spring and before peach sprouting. Find a place with better lighting, dig a hole half a meter deep, and sprinkle an appropriate amount of farm fertilizer into the hole as base fertilizer. When the peach seedlings are put into the hole, the small seedlings can be planted with bare roots or stained with mud, and the large seedlings need to be planted with soil balls, and the row spacing is 4m × 5m or 3m × 4m. When filling the soil, the soil is compacted and the root water is fixed.

2. Fertilization

Young trees control the application of nitrogen fertilizer to prevent branches from growing; fruiting trees apply fertilizer three times a year, including base fertilizer, strong fruit fertilizer and fruit picking fertilizer. From October to November, when deep ploughing the soil, the fertilizer was mainly organic fertilizer, accounting for 50% of the whole year; from late April to May, strong fruit fertilizer was applied at the hard core stage of fruit, and potash fertilizer was mainly applied for early-maturing species, and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer was applied for middle and late mature seeds. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium application accounted for 15%, 20%, 30% and 40% of the whole year; fruit picking fertilizer was applied before and after fruit harvest, and the amount of fertilizer applied accounted for 15% of the whole year.

3. Pruning

The first fruiting tree (3-4 years after planting) has many long branches and dense shoots, so it is necessary to adopt summer pruning measures such as wiping buds, coring and twisting shoots; for many years, the trend of fruiting trees has eased, the proportion of long branches and secondary branches has significantly decreased, and the proportion of medium and short fruit branches has increased, mainly short cutting, and delete over-dense branches and top strong branches to renew weak branches in time.

4. Diseases and insect pests

The diseases and insect pests of peach seedlings include bacterial perforation, scab, brown rot, anthrax, gum disease, root cancer, aphids, Hawthorn red spider, peach leaf moth, peach green leafhopper, peach borer, tea wing bugs, scale insects, peach ball scale insects, red-necked longicorn beetles and so on.
