Strawberry is a common fruit in daily life. It tastes sour and sweet, and many people like to eat it. Because the market price is relatively high, it attracts a lot of people to plant. The following is to introduce the new technology of strawberry planting in the south.

1. Select the place

Strawberry is a crop with high yield and economic benefit. Planting land requires convenient transportation and close to water source. If the transportation is inconvenient, it is difficult to get a good price; if the water is inconvenient, strawberries cannot be grown. The soil of the planting plot is required to be fertile, loose neutral or slightly acidic loam.

2. Make a bed

Because of the large number of Rain Water in the south, it is generally used as a high border in order to facilitate drainage. For the specification of the high border, the total width of the general border surface and furrow is 90 cm, of which the groove width is 35 cm, the ridge width is 55 cm, and the border height is 28 cm.

3. Planting

Strawberries are generally planted in the south from late September to mid-late October, with the highest survival rate when the highest temperature drops below 32 ℃ and the soil temperature drops to 15 ℃. Strawberry seedlings will be planted in the ground, each row planting 2 rows, row spacing 22 cm, plant spacing 16-18 cm, soil to "deep not buried, shallow do not show roots" as the principle, the new stem bow back all outward. Continuously pour a little water within 7 days after planting until the strawberry seedlings survive.

4. Temperature

Strawberry likes warm and cool climate, the optimum temperature for growth is 15-22 ℃, the suitable temperature for root growth is 5-30 ℃, the suitable temperature for stem and leaf growth is 20-30 ℃, the temperature during flower bud differentiation should be maintained at 5-15 ℃, the flowering and fruiting stage should be kept at 4-40 ℃, and the bud should be frozen at-15-10 ℃. Shading measures should be taken when the air temperature is higher than 30 ℃ and the sunshine is strong.

5. Lighting

Strawberry is a light-loving plant, when the light intensity, the plant is short and strong, the fruit is small, the color is dark, the quality is good, when the light is medium, the fruit is large, the color is light, the sugar content is low, the harvest time is longer, the light is too weak, it is harmful to the growth of strawberry. Therefore, give strawberries plenty of light.

6. Watering

Strawberry root distribution is shallow, transpiration is large, not resistant to waterlogging, the growing period requires sufficient soil moisture, rainy season should pay attention to drainage. In early spring and flowering, the soil water content is less than 70%; in the fruit growth and ripening period, the soil water content is more than 80%; after fruit harvest, the soil water content is not less than 70%; in the autumn plant nutrition accumulation and flower bud formation period, the soil water content shall not be less than 60%.

7. Fertilization

In addition to applying basic fertilizer, it is also necessary to topdressing at the right time. In the fruit expansion period and harvest period, 10 kg of strawberry special fertilizer or diammonium phosphate per mu can be applied, and the effect of combined watering in the form of 200 times liquid fertilizer is better.

8. Other

To often remove diseased leaves, withered yellow leaves and diseased fruit, often remove new-born stems, often clear ditches to regulate soil moisture, so that water does not accumulate after the rain. When harvesting, the fruits that are half red (sunny) and half green can be turned over to promote their uniform ripening.
