On January 6, Taizhou seed Management Station held a summary meeting of seed management work in 2015, which was attended by more than 20 people, including the stationmasters of seed management stations in various cities (districts) and the technical backbone of implementing the test and demonstration of new varieties. At the meeting, various localities exchanged the work of seed management in 2015 and the results of the test and demonstration of new varieties of autumn crops, and the key work of seed management in the whole city in 2016 was assigned.

The meeting held that in 2015, the city's seed management system, under the correct leadership of the competent agricultural departments at all levels and the guidance of higher-level business departments, conscientiously performed the functions entrusted by the seed Law and the seed Management regulations of Jiangsu Province, carried out in-depth seed "doubles" special action, strengthened the supervision of the seed market, conscientiously did a good job in testing, demonstrating, and popularizing new varieties, and worked hard to standardize the order of the seed market. However, there are also some problems, such as relatively weak management strength, many seed stores, uneven quality of operators, difficult supervision, and unmarked "white skin packaging" seeds bring safety risks to production.

The meeting put forward the focus of seed management in 2016: first, to conscientiously grasp the publicity and implementation of the newly revised seed Law and its supporting laws and regulations; second, to continue to deepen the special action of seed "doubles"; third, to do a good job in the issuance of seed production and management licenses in accordance with the law; fourth, to strengthen the demonstration and demonstration of new variety testing; fifth, to strengthen the safety of new varieties in the field. Sixth, standardize the implementation of provincial seed safety supervision projects.
