However, from the perspective of the transformation and development of the city and the realization of sustainable expansion and strength of the vegetable industry, the overall planning of the vegetable industry in the city lags behind.

However, from the perspective of the transformation and development of the city and the realization of sustainable expansion and strength of the vegetable industry, the overall planning of the vegetable industry in the city lags behind. Vegetable industry as the leading industry of agriculture, the industrial chain has not yet been formed, and great efforts need to be made to promote it.

Planning with a high starting point. We will focus on promoting the development of the vegetable industry in the 13th five-year Plan of our city's national economy. During the 12th five-year Plan period, our city proposed to give priority to agriculture as a major industry, including fruit industry, animal husbandry industry, Chinese herbal medicine industry, vegetable industry, small grain production and walnut as the focus. The 13th five-year Plan should further refine the ideas for the development of vegetable industry, expand the space for vegetable development, further improve the self-sufficiency rate of vegetables in our city, prolong the production chain of vegetable industry, and achieve the goal of green ecological development of vegetables and becoming rich in rural areas.

Introduce supportive policies. The development of vegetable industry in our city is restricted by natural conditions, and the production cost is high. Governments at the city and county levels should provide policy support in optimizing land integration and transfer. We should develop the model of "company + base + farmers", expand the scale of vegetable cultivation, increase the land output rate, guide farmers to change from growing grain to growing vegetables, and arouse farmers' enthusiasm for growing vegetables.

Implement the talent strategy. According to the talent development strategy of "paying close attention to introduction, training in the middle and training in the distance", we should do a good job in the training of talents in vegetable cultivation. More than 30 townships in the three agricultural counties and districts are not yet equipped with specialized vegetable agricultural technicians, so the urgent task is to make up for the gap.

Improve the service system. The existing Xihetan Wholesale Market in our city, Pingding Huatong Wholesale Market and Chengguan Xiushui Town Wholesale Market in Yuxian County are all comprehensive agricultural trade wholesale, and the scale, hardware facilities and management system have been unable to meet the needs of the development of vegetable industry. The governments at the city and county levels should work together to introduce foreign capital, joint ventures of social forces, private capital and other financing modes to meet the city's vegetable logistics and distribution and market demand.

Increase the leadership of science and technology. The agricultural departments at the city and county levels should increase the demonstration work of the modernization of vegetable cultivation, give timely technical support to farmers, sum up advanced experience and train demonstration households of advanced techniques for vegetable cultivation, and help farmers master advanced planting techniques and management methods. establish the concept of relying on science and technology to promote the development of vegetables to achieve high yield and efficiency of vegetable cultivation.

Enhance brand awareness. The city and county governments should invest sufficient funds to improve the vegetable product quality inspection system, and implement the production supervision, market access and quality traceability system, so that the consumption of residents in the city can be assured and trusted, and establish the brand of Yangquan vegetables. Strengthen the publicity and promotion of registered vegetable trademarks and expand the market share of vegetable brand products.
