How to treat Grape Leaf Diseases

For different leaf diseases, treatment methods are different. For example, at the early stage of grape leaf spot disease, spray 50% Xiaojunling soluble powder 1500 times solution, or 1∶0.7∶200 times Bordeaux mixture, or 30% basic copper sulfate suspension 400~500 times solution, or 70% mancozeb wettable powder 500~600 times solution. Spraying once every 10~15 days for 3~4 times of continuous control.

1. Black pox disease

In the early stage of grape young leaves growth, there will often be some pin-sized reddish brown or dark brown spots on the leaves, surrounded by yellow halo and will gradually expand into round spots. The center of the disease spot is gray and slightly depressed, surrounded by purple halo, and the late leaves will appear perforation phenomenon.

This disease is mainly affected by the veins of grape leaves, the leaves will shrink and bend, but only for young leaves, old leaves almost never disease.

2. Anthrax

Anthrax is a disease caused by bacterial infection. At the onset of the disease, the veins and petioles of grapes will appear oval spots, dark brown spots, the surface can be seen faintly crimson conidia. If this symptom occurs, it is best to clean the plant to prevent normal plants from being infected during pollination.

3. Grey mold

This disease often occurs before flowering grapes, the disease site in the leaves. When the disease occurs, grape leaves will appear large reddish brown irregular necrotic spots, which occur mostly at the edge of vein.

4. White rot

White rot mainly occurs after grape fruiting. After the disease grape leaf margin and wound parts will show a relatively large oval light brown spots and concentric ring pattern.

5. Downy mildew

At the initial stage of downy mildew, the leaves will have transparent, water-soaked irregular spots. If the leaves are taken off toward the sun, they will feel the same as perspective. After several days of disease, the diseased parts will turn yellow, the shape is irregular, the edge is not clear, and the back of the spots will have white tender furry downy mold layers. Later, the spot will gradually expand to more than 1 cm, the color of the spot will become reddish brown, like or charred, showing a scorched state, if several spots together will cause the whole leaf to dry off.
