The growth of many trees need to be pruned, so that the tree can grow more beautiful and stronger, so what are the ways to prune the tree?

First, thinning branches

It means that when the internal branches of the plant are too dense, some of them need to be removed from the base, and the objects of thinning branches are crossed branches, parallel branches, introverted branches, diseased branches, and senescent branches.

In addition to branch thinning, there are bud thinning and flower thinning, among which, bud thinning is to ensure the quality of flowers and increase the diameter of each flower head; flower thinning is to increase the number of fruit setting of ornamental flowers.

2. Truncation

Truncation refers to the pruning of annual branches, leaving part of the branches to grow. The main function is to promote them to produce new shoots and increase the number of branches, so as to ensure the tree strength and normal fruit.

According to the reserved length, it can be divided into five types: light short cut, medium short cut, heavy short cut, heavy cut and extremely heavy short cut.

Third, remove tillers

The removal of tillers refers to the removal of twigs or roots growing from the base of the trunk and near the wound, because these tillers will absorb the nutrients of the tree and are not conducive to the growth of the tree.

Fourth, pick the heart

Coring is also called topping, which refers to the treatment of reserved dry branches, basic branches or lateral branches. coring can control heightening and elongation growth, which is conducive to thickening growth and accelerating fruit development.

Generally speaking, heart picking should be carried out in the morning. if it is a fruit branch, 2 or 3 leaves should be left in front of the foremost inflorescence, which is not only beneficial to the fruit growth, but also prevent the fruit from direct exposure to the sun to cause sunburn.
