Holly is a national key protected evergreen tree, its leaves are bright green, shining in the sun, very good-looking, flowering lavender, flowers are not very strong, but the taste is very fresh. So how to control the disease when breeding this kind of plant?

I. the main diseases of holly and its control

The common diseases of holly are leaf spot, branch blight, root rot, anthracnose and so on. Specific treatment methods should be determined according to the disease type in order to take targeted measures.

Leaf spot is one of the most important plant diseases, which is widely distributed in China and occurs all over the country. The disease is divided into three types, namely, cockscomb leaf spot (also known as brown spot), fish tail sunflower leaf spot (also known as black spot), Magnolia leaf spot (blight), which usually occurs on holly. The specific symptoms are that the disease spot on the leaf is round, and then expands into an irregular large disease spot, and produces wheel lines, the disease spot changes from reddish brown to dark brown, the center of the disease is grayish brown. The main drug treatment methods are 20% silazole ·prochloraz 1000 times solution, 38% cuproloxil 1000 times solution or 4% flusilazole 1000 times solution, 50% topiramine 1000 times and other agents to spray.

Withered branches will cause the epidermis of holly branches to show abnormal brown, at the same time, accompanied by a large number of leaves withered and fall, hindering the plant to obtain nutrition, and eventually lead to plant death. The symptoms of the disease are very similar to the loss of water and death of plants, so it is necessary to make a diagnosis in time and take measures when the symptoms appear. The common drug treatment is to spray 800x solution of Xinziqing wettable powder or 1000 times liquid of amidine after pruning, and then spray fungicide aseptic solution or xinziqing wettable powder every 10 days for three times.

Root rot is a disease caused by fungi, which causes root rot, weakens the function of the plant to absorb water and nutrients, and finally dies the whole plant, which is similar to branch blight. There were no symptoms in the early stage, but the new leaves yellowed after aggravation, and the upper leaves wilted when the evaporation was strong, but it could recover at night. The common method of drug treatment is to spray 1000 times of the antimicrobial agent 401acetic acid solution, or to irrigate the root with carbendazim or copper preparation.

Anthrax is caused by fungi, and there are often small black spots on the leaves or branches that are arranged in a wheel and break through the epidermis of the disease. Heavily diseased leaves often have multiple disease spots, resulting in leaf stem withering. The common treatment is to spray 80% anthrax Fumet wettable powder 800 times, 50% Thiram wettable powder 600 times, or 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder 800 times every 7 to 10 days, 2 to 3 times in a row.

These are the main diseases and treatment methods of holly. When planting holly, we must pay more attention to observation, determine the cause in time when finding the abnormal phenomenon of holly, and treat the disease as soon as possible.
