If the yield of hybrid watermelon is 3000 kg per mu in medium fertility soil, N15 kg, P2O56 kg and K2O15 kg are needed. Do the following when applying fertilizer:

1. Apply sufficient base fertilizer. 2000 kg of high-quality organic fertilizer, 75 kg of cake fertilizer, 50 kg of special fertilizer for watermelon or 50 kg of potassium sulfate compound fertilizer were applied per mu. If there is no compound fertilizer, 10 kg of urea, 30 kg of superphosphate and 10 kg of potassium sulfate can be used. Organic fertilizer and cake fertilizer should be applied in layers or in the whole layer during soil preparation, and chemical fertilizer should be mixed with a small amount of organic fertilizer when transplanting watermelons after soil preparation.

2. Attach importance to long melon fertilizer. The application of long melon fertilizer can promote early fruiting melon and big melon, but it should be applied appropriately according to soil fertility and seedling condition. Generally in the melon sitting period, when watermelons are expanded to 0.25 kg, urea is applied per mu 4kg / mu.

3. Do a good job of foliar spraying. Watermelon has long vines and large leaf area, so foliar spraying can improve fertilizer use efficiency. In the reproductive growth stage of watermelon, the demand for phosphorus and potassium is greatly increased. in order to prevent premature senescence, 50 kg of trace elements such as 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate plus 0.1% boron and 0.5% ferrous sulfate can be sprayed per mu to prevent premature senility and enhance disease resistance. and improve the quality of watermelon.
