Cuttings should be stored in the ditch in time after collection, and should be soaked in 100-fold solution of new high-fat film before entering the ditch to avoid mildew and deterioration of cuttings during storage, prevent water evaporation, prevent bacteria infection, resist freezing and heat preservation, and improve germination ability.

Storage ditches should be selected in areas with high terrain, good drainage, low groundwater level and shade. The ditch is 1 meter deep and 1-1.5 meters wide. The length of the trench depends on the number of cuttings, usually 10 meters. After the trench is dug, first spread a layer of clean wet sand 10 centimeters thick at the bottom of the ditch, arrange the cuttings in order, and isolate the bundles and bundles with fine sand. After putting a layer of cuttings, spread a layer of wet sand 10 cm thick, and fully fill the gaps in the cuttings to prevent freeze-drying. It usually takes two or three floors. Another way is to tilt the cuttings into the ditch, and the cuttings are also filled with wet sand. Finally, the strip was covered with 20 cm of soil and sprayed with 800-fold solution of new high-fat film to preserve moisture and prevent evaporation, sun and drought, heat preservation and freezing, soil hardening, asphyxiation and isolation of diseases and insect pests. The top of the ditch is ridged to protect against the cold.

The temperature in the ditch should be kept at about 1 ℃, not higher than 5 ℃ or lower than-1 ℃. On the other hand, the sand of the cuttings should be kept at 70% to 80% humidity, that is, it is appropriate to hold it in a ball and let go. When the ditch temperature is close to 7: 8 ℃ and the cuttings have fever, the trench should be reversed in time to reduce the thickness of soil cover. When it is too dry, spray an appropriate amount of water.
