Breeding methods of Panax notoginseng

Seed propagation is mainly used to raise seedlings and transplant.

1. The seeds of 3-year-old plants with strong growth and free of diseases and insect pests were generally selected for seed treatment. When the fruit of ll~ was ripe in December, the seeds were collected and washed and sown in time, because the germination rate decreased greatly after the seeds were stored for a week. Before sowing, disinfect 10min with 0.2-0.3 Baumetolite-sulfur mixture, or disinfect 15min with 200-300-fold zinc, and then sow seeds.

2. 2-3 months before planting, the selected land will be ploughed many times, so that the soil will be fully weathered and broken. Before sowing, plough and rake again, then the border height 18~20cm, border width 1m, apply base fertilizer 3000~4000kg every 667m 2, mix well with soil, level the border surface, open holes according to plant spacing 6cm × 6cm, hole depth 1.5cm, put 1 seed in each hole, cover with soil and cover with straw to avoid border soil consolidation. The seedlings sown in winter in the south emerged in 3 months and all in 4 months. About 100000 seeds can be sown per 667m2 (heavy 8.5kg). After one year of cultivation, it was out of the nursery and transplanted.

3. Transplant in ll~ in December. The seedlings will be dug out, do not hurt the roots, classified according to size, respectively transplant. The seedlings were disinfected by the same method as the seeds, then the holes were opened according to the distance between the rows of 15cm × 12cm, and the holes were deep 3cm. The buds of the seedlings were planted obliquely head down, and then covered with soil and grass.
