Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Laodelphax striatellus can not only cause rice stripe disease by virus transmission, but also concentrate on panicle damage at late panicle stage. In order to clarify the control effect and application technology of pymetrozine and other insecticides on Laodelphax striatellus at late rice heading stage, Cheng Qinhai et al from Haining Plant Protection Station of Zhejiang Province carried out field research

Grey planthopper can not only cause virus diseases such as rice stripe blight, but also concentrate on panicle damage in late rice panicle stage. In order to determine the control effect and application technology of Pyrazidone and other drugs on gray planthopper in late rice panicle stage, field experiments were carried out by Cheng Qinhai, Plant Protection Station, Haining City, Zhejiang Province.

Each mu was treated with 40% chlorpyrifos EC 100 ml, 10% enpyrimidine 30 ml, 10% chlorothioline wettable powder 30 g, 25% aphidione wettable powder 20 g, 25% buprofezin wettable powder 75 g and water control. When the rice is in the filling stage, use a manual sprayer to spray according to the water consumption of 50 kg per mu. When the pesticide was applied, the generations of gray planthopper overlapped obviously, and the younger nymph accounted for 58.3%.

The results showed that chlorpyrifos and pyramidone had ideal control effect on spike gray planthopper, and the former had good quick effect, and the latter had better persistence effect, followed by chlorthiazine and buprofezin. The damage of gray planthopper at panicle stage can be effectively controlled by one application of Pyrazidone, and the use of chlorpyrifos should be increased once.

According to the monitoring, the high temperature from July to August had an inhibitory effect on the gray planthopper, and the reproduction was accelerated after the weather turned cool in September. The suitable period for the control of gray planthopper at the heading stage was about 7 days after heading (mid-late September). It is suggested that pyrazidone can be used alternately with chlorpyrifos and dichlorvos to delay the emergence of drug resistance, and chlorpyrifos or dichlorvos can be mixed with Pyrazidone in the year when gray planthopper occurs, so as to enhance the quickness and persistence. 25% pyramidone wettable powder to control gray planthopper in late rice panicle stage, 20 grams per mu plus 50 kg water spray.
