According to many years' practical experience, I think that the technology of raising rice seedlings with thin film should pay attention to three key periods: closed period, refining seedling stage and film opening stage.

The first period: the closed period, that is, from sowing to the stage of one leaf and one heart. During this period, the film should be tightly closed to create high-temperature and high-humidity conditions in the film to promote the rapid rooting of rice seeds. The temperature inside the film should be controlled at 35 ℃. If it exceeds 35 ℃, open the two ends of the film in time at noon for ventilation and cooling to prevent seedling "burn". Cover the film at about 04:00 in the afternoon to maintain a suitable temperature; if it is lower than 30 ℃, seal the film all day and fill the outer trench water at noon to keep the seedlings warm or increase temperature to prevent seedlings from freezing. The relative humidity in the film should be kept at 85%.

The second period: the seedling stage, that is, from one leaf to two leaves and one heart. 4Mel spent 5 days refining seedlings, using the step-by-step method of "opening the door at both ends-opening the window front and back (left and right)-uncovering the film-day and night cover-and finally revealing it all", gradually making the seedlings adapt from the environment inside the film to the climate outside the film. At the same time, pay attention to keep the seedling bed moist to prevent seedlings from withering or even dying due to physiological dehydration.

The third period: the uncovering period, that is, the period from two leaves to three leaves. By refining the seedlings, the seedlings have adapted to the natural climate. When the seedlings grow to about 10 cm and the temperature is stable above 13 ℃, irrigate and remove the film completely. Generally, the seedling bed should be moist for irrigation, which is beneficial to the cultivation of strong seedlings (if there is a sudden encounter of low temperature or high temperature, flood irrigation can be carried out to protect the seedlings from high temperature burns or low temperature frostbite).
