Recently, some wheat growers reported that the wheat tips turned yellow, the leaf sheath showed small yellowish spots, and the roots showed crisscross stripes of yellow, commonly known as "flower stalks", with serious dark brown rot. This is a typical symptom of wheat sheath blight. It is understood that the disease is more serious when growers do not carry out any drug treatment on wheat seeds.

Wheat sheath blight, also known as vertical blight, sharp eye disease. It mainly harms the leaf sheath and stem at the base of the plant. After the wheat germinated, the coleoptile was infected by bacteria, browned and then rotted and died. At the third and fourth leaf stage, light yellow spots first appeared on the leaf sheath, and then developed into typical yellowish brown fusiform or eye spot disease spots. The disease part gradually expanded, the color became darker, and developed inward to extend to the stem, the basal stem nodes rotted, the seedlings did not draw new leaves, and died.

Wheat sheath blight generally has two peak periods, the occurrence and epidemic of wheat sheath blight has two peaks before winter and jointing stage, and the occurrence degree of disease before winter directly affects the disease and damage degree in the later stage. Therefore, we should focus on controlling the early stage, delaying the infection period of pathogens and the outbreak period of wheat plants, and reducing the severity and damage loss of the disease. The seriously diseased fields with high incidence should be combined with control measures before winter and early spring.

The control of wheat sheath blight can be divided into two stages: chemical control in the early stage of the disease (late October to mid-November) and returning to green period (late March to early April). That is, 50 milliliters of Jinggang per mu? Bacillus cereus + 15ml chlorophyllin or 10ml Shenzinmycin + 5ml Aidoushou + 20g phosphorus and potassium power should spray a bucket of water at intervals of 5 to 7 days for 2 to 3 consecutive times.
