Last Updated: 2024/11/05, The symptom characteristics of cluster dwarf disease: the upper leaves of the infected plants have yellow and green stripes, the tillers increase, the plants are dwarf, showing a cluster dwarf shape, generally can not jointing and heading. The infected plants in early spring gradually show disease at the returning green stage and jointing stage, with striped heart leaves and dark green leaves.

The symptom characteristics of cluster dwarf disease: the upper leaves of the infected plants have yellow and green stripes, the tillers increase, the plants are dwarf, showing a cluster dwarf shape, generally can not jointing and heading. The infected plants in early spring showed disease one after another in the green stage and jointing stage, with striped heart leaves, thick green leaves and sturdy stems. After jointing, the infected plants showed stripes only in the upper leaves, and the grains that could heading were thin.

Route of transmission: wheat rosette dwarf virus is mainly transmitted by gray planthopper without sap, seed and soil.

Prevention and control methods: (1) agricultural control measures. Such as wheat flat cropping, reasonable arrangement of intercropping, avoid intercropping with Gramineae plants; intensive cultivation, eliminate the living environment of gray planthopper, depress the source of toxin and insect; sow continuous sowing at the right time to avoid early sowing; winter irrigation to protect seedlings in wheat field to reduce the overwinter of gray planthopper; early application of fertilizer and water to increase the spike rate of wheat in the green stage. Remove weeds; many weeds are the host of planthopper and the source of wheat virus disease, remove weeds near fields and ditches, eliminate poison sources, and have the effect of killing insects and preventing diseases. (2) Pesticide control. Control gray planthopper with 2000 3000 times of imidacloprid WP or 2000 3000 WP of 5% acetamiprid to control gray planthopper and depress insect source. The diseased land was sprayed with 500-fold solution of virus Kexing water agent, and the diseased plants were removed and destroyed.
