Lily has a variety of flowers, and the flowers are large and trumpet-shaped, and they are widely loved by people because of the meaning of "a hundred years of harmony" and "Pepsi harmony". Summer is the main florescence and dormancy period of lilies, which is very important for its maintenance and management.

Cool down and avoid the sun. The suitable temperature for the growth of lily is from 15 ℃ to 25 ℃, which can maintain good growth and flowering. When flowering, the pot plant can be moved to a cool place, or shaded by a curtain on the plant, and strengthen ventilation to cool down, which is conducive to prolonging the flowering period. Lily bulbs are not resistant to high temperature. When the summer heat comes, we should try to lower the soil temperature. Sawdust, broken grass and leaves can be used to cover the basin soil surface to cool down.

Dormancy management. When the temperature is higher than 30 ℃, the lily will gradually enter dormancy, and the stems and leaves will gradually wither and yellow. When it is completely dormant, the withered stems and leaves of the aboveground should be cut off to keep the soil dry. If conditions permit, the lily bulbs can be dug up, buried in wet and dry peat soil, stored in a low temperature, and then taken out and planted in autumn.

Water and fertilize. Early summer is the peak season for the growth and flowering of lilies. More watering should be done to keep the soil moist. At the same time, 10 times of mature liquid fertilizer should be applied every 10 to 15 days, and 1000 times of potassium dihydrogen phosphate should be applied once to twice in budding. After anthesis, 10-fold rotten liquid fertilizer was applied and mixed with 500-fold potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution for 2 to 3 times. When lilies begin to enter dormancy, water supply should be reduced to make the soil slightly wet to promote dormancy.

Set up a frame to prevent folding. Some lilies have large and many flowers, and their stems are relatively slender, so they can be fixed with bamboo sticks or iron wires to prevent the flower stems from breaking.
