Last Updated: 2024/11/22, First, persimmon tree planting 1, select land to build persimmon orchard. It is appropriate to choose the leeward to the shady land with deep soil layer, loose soil fertility and low groundwater level. 2. Dig holes to apply base fertilizer. In accordance with the mountain situation, a horizontal terrace should be built into a front ridge and back ditch, an anti-inclined Mesa or a fish-scale pit.

I. Persimmons planting

1. Select land to build persimmon garden. It is advisable to select leeward shady land with deep soil layer, fertile and loose soil and low groundwater level.

2. Dig holes and apply base fertilizer. Conform to the mountain into a horizontal terrace, should be built into the former ridge after the ditch, anti-inclined mesa or "fish scale pit"-style mountain garden. Plant according to row spacing of 6 m ×5.5 m, 20 or 50 plants per mu (dense planting). The planting hole surface width, bottom width and depth should reach 1m, 0.8m and 0.6m respectively, first weathered, then backfill weeds and topsoil to 80% full, at the same time backfill a considerable amount of organic fertilizer as base fertilizer, the height of the acupoint table is 20cm. 1- 1.5kg calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer is applied to each hole during planting to improve planting quality and growth.

3. Suitable planting period. The most suitable period for persimmon tree planting is after autumn defoliation and before spring germination, that is, before mid-February, generally not exceeding the rain season.

II. Management of persimmon garden

1. Increase fertilizer and improve soil. Persimmons belong to deep-rooted tree species, should enlarge the hole to improve soil and increase fertilizer in order to grow strong. Persimmons in production in winter to enlarge the hole to improve soil, hole length 1-1.5 meters, width 0.4 meters, depth 0.4-0.5 meters. When topsoil is backfilled, 100-150 kg of soil miscellaneous fertilizer or 50 kg of dried pig dung or 100-150 kg of mushroom soil or 1-1.5 kg of calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer is applied to the plant, mixed with topsoil and filled into the lower layer. The hole surface is filled with topsoil in the garden. Can also be deep ploughing soil that organic fertilizer spread in the canopy drip line, and then in the fibrous roots deep ploughing 20 cm. For persimmon trees with high yield, 6.5 kg of nitrogen fertilizer, 2.5 kg of phosphorus fertilizer and 0.6 kg of potassium fertilizer should be applied per mu.

2. Cut the branches. Adult trees with high crown or cross-shaded branches shall be appropriately retracted and pruned after defoliation in winter. Short pruning shall be adopted mainly and thinning shall be combined to cut off dense branches, cross branches, excessive long branches and diseased dead branches, so as to promote reasonable distribution of branches and cut them into reasonable tree potential.

3. Carry out winter garden cleaning work. In winter pruning, diseased fruit, diseased stems, dead branches and fallen leaves should be thoroughly removed, and the source of overwintering diseases and insect pests should be removed. Scale insect damage to persimmon trees, in winter defoliation to spring germination should be sprayed 95% oil emulsion (scale mite) 150 times or 5 degrees of Bomei sulfur mixture to control.
