Blackberry is one of the third generation fruits recommended by the World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to the world in 1993. It was successfully introduced from the United States by Xingnong seed Company in Xuecheng District, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province in 1995, and was listed as a key agricultural extension project by the Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Municipal Finance Bureau in 1997. Due to good nutrition, unique flavor, suitable for fresh food and processing fruit juices, canned, etc., fruit supply exceeds demand. BlackBerry diseases and insects are few, the occurrence is also light, field cultivation generally does not need pesticides, so it has become a popular "green food". In recent years, it has been found in the BlackBerry production Garden in Nanshi Town, Xuecheng District that the spotted beard bug harms the BlackBerry in varying degrees.

The damage occurred: the bug had three generations a year, and the adults overwintered in the leeward and sunny places, such as litter, root soil crevice, building gap close to BlackBerry garden, bark gap and so on. After overwintering, he began to move into the BlackBerry Garden in mid-May and completed two generations on the BlackBerry. The period from May to July is the peak of harm. Adults and nymphs like to inhabit fruit juice between ears, and sometimes there are multiple heads on one fruit and nymphs compete for food. From April to May, the bug harms the plant buds, causing young leaves to die and new shoots to "break their heads". The young fruit is damaged, resulting in the abnormal development and expansion of the fruit. When the mature fruit is stabbed and sucked in juice, the fruit is shrunk and dull in sunny and dry days; when it comes to rain, the fruit fades and becomes albino, which makes the taste worse and loses its commercial value. It generally reduces production by 5%, which can reach about 15% seriously.

Control technology: the spotted bug bug that harms shoots, buds and leaves can be sprayed with 1500-2000 times of omethoate from April to May.

In the early stage of fruit ripening (June-July), Pentatoms and nymphs perch in the ear. When the density reaches the control target of 2 heads per ear, pesticides with high efficiency, low toxicity and low residue should be selected for control, and the liquid should be sprayed evenly on the ear. If 80% dichlorvos 2000-3000 times solution is used to control trichlorvos, it should be carried out more than 3 days before harvest; if 80% trichlorvos solution is used, it should be carried out more than 7 days before harvest. For example, when using 3000-5000 times of 20% fenvalerate EC or 3000-4000 times of methamphetamine, it should be carried out 15-20 days before harvest, so as to ensure the safety of fruit harvest, and the control effect is generally more than 85%.
