Although the survival rate of planted cherry seedlings is high, it is difficult for young trees to pass through the severe winter safely. The branches of young trees are dehydrated, shrunken and withered due to poor overwintering, which is commonly known as striping. The phenomenon of overwintering striping of young cherry trees is more common, which occurs to varying degrees in most years, causing tree shape disorder in light cases and hindering early fruit; in heavy cases, the whole tree will dry up and die. This paper introduces the technical measures for safe overwintering of eight kinds of young cherry trees, which can be selected by various places.

First, scatter ash and plough shallow. Plant ash can be scattered all over the orchard and ploughed into the ground, which can not only loosen the soil, absorb heat and heat preservation, reduce frost damage, but also provide potassium, phosphorus, calcium, silicon and other mineral nutrients for young trees. Generally scatter 300 kilograms of plant ash per mu, shallow ploughing 3-5 cm.

Second, qu Gan buried the earth. After the fallen leaves of 1-2-year-old young trees are dormant, the trunk is bent and buried in wet soil to prevent the bare branches from losing water. The thickness of the buried soil on the trunk and branches is about 30 cm.

Third, watering frozen water. Watering frozen water 5-6 days before "Lesser Snow" has a certain effect on cold resistance and anti-freezing. When people can enter the ground after irrigation, gently paddle the soil to cut off the soil capillaries.

Fourth, the rhizome blocks the soil. Before the soil freezes, the crescent-shaped soil with a height of 50 cm at the distance of 30 cm from the trunk in the northwest of the tree can effectively prevent the rhizome from freezing and striping.

Fifth, the trunk is painted white. In winter, quicklime is mixed with water to make lime paste, and a small amount of salt is added to brush evenly on the tree trunk, which can reflect more sunlight and prevent the harm caused by the large temperature difference between day and night.

Sixth, plastic film mulching. The roots of young trees are distributed in the soil layer 20-30 cm above the ground. Mulching plastic film has a certain warming effect on shallow soil.

Seventh, cut the auxiliary tips in winter. Cut off the sub-tip with large transpiration in winter, and smear Vaseline (protective agent) on the cut to reduce water loss.

8. Wrap the film. Cut the white agricultural film with a thickness of 0.03 mm into bands 3-5 cm wide and 1-2 m long, and then gradually wrap the backbone branches and trunks along the branch tip to the base and the upper trunk to the lower part. Strict wrapping is required to keep the bark from being exposed, which can play a positive role in protecting the bark.
