Papaya root rot disease is also called papaya root rot disease.

The symptoms of the disease are mainly damage to the root neck and roots, and seedlings in the seedling stage and shortly after planting are more susceptible to the disease. In particular, the high groundwater level or poor drainage in nursery land and cultivated land are easy to cause stagnant water and soil stickiness. At the beginning of the disease, the plant appeared watery in the stem base, then turned brown and rotted, the leaves withered, the plant withered, and the roots became brown and necrotic.

The pathogen is Fusarium, which overwinters in the soil and becomes the source of infection in the second year, which is spread by flowing water.

The prevention and cure method should be ventilated and transparent in the seedling shed, reduce the temperature, and the seedling and planting land should be well drained to avoid stagnant water. before the rainy season, 1000ppm (about 1000 times dilution) phosphite can be sprayed three times, once every seven days, with good preventive effect. When in use, phosphorous acid shall be prepared on the same day and be neutralized with equal weight of potassium hydroxide.

Avoid continuous cropping or continuous cropping with vegetable fields (especially the previous crop is Cucurbitaceae); pay attention to the control of snails and ants; when diseased plants are found, the disease should be protected with liquid medicine. Use 1000 times of 70% dimethazone wettable powder or 50% carbendazim wettable powder, 0.3-0.5kg per plant, once in 7-10 days, and continuous irrigation 2-3 times in 7-10 days.
