Due to the influence of ecological conditions and meteorological factors, cotton seedling diseases and insect pests have the characteristics of many species, rapid development and serious harm, which often cause lack of seedlings and broken ridges in cotton fields, and die in serious cases. The main diseases are black root disease, red rot, blight, anthrax, cotton aphid, ground tiger and so on. Comprehensive prevention and control should be carried out by timely and scientific use of drugs.

1. Agricultural measures: cotton cultivation should select high-quality, high-yield and disease-tolerant varieties to sow at the right time; secondly, we should strengthen management, increase base fertilizer, early seedling, timely seedling, strengthen irrigation in dry season, deep ploughing after rain to increase soil temperature, reduce soil moisture, enhance soil ventilation; third, purify the cotton field and surrounding weeds, reduce the number of diseases and insect pests.

two。 Early prevention of seedling disease: cotton seedlings can be sprayed with 600 times of 50% carbendazim wettable powder or 800 times of 70% carbendazim wettable powder; serious fields can be sprayed with 40% carbendazim glue suspension or 65% mancozeb wettable powder once a week, twice in a row.

3. Scientific control of aphids: a large number of natural enemies are transferred from wheat fields to cotton fields after summer harvest, which can reduce the use of chemical pesticides and give full play to the role of natural enemies in controlling aphids. When aphids occur seriously, 10% imidacloprid wettable powder 1500 times or 50% aldicarb 1000 times can be sprayed, and pay attention to alternate use of drugs to slow down the occurrence of resistance.

4. Control ground tiger: when there is tiger harm in the cotton field, 50% phoxim 50 grams of water can be sprayed on 5 kilograms of fried wheat bran or broken cottonseed cake to make poison bait, spread along the ridge in the evening to trap larvae, or use 1500 times of 50% phoxim or 1500 times of phoxim or 800x kung fu plus 800x enemy kill spray.
