At present, most of the seeds selected for cotton production in China are cottonseed treated with coating agent after foam acid depilation, which is referred to as coated cottonseed. The drugs in the coating agent can kill the bacteria attached to the cottonseed. However, all kinds of soil-borne bacteria latent in the soil have to be killed or inhibited by fungicides, if this link is ignored. Even if the cotton seedlings are well produced, they may be infected with seedling diseases such as blight, anthracnose, stem blight and so on. therefore, when setting up the cotton nutrition bowl seedling bed, the soil of the seedling bed should still be treated with insecticides to prevent the disease, and there are many agents to choose, such as 25% carbendazim 1200-1500 times, 2.5% Shileshi seed coating 500 times, 25% Xinxiu (propiconazole) EC 5 ml, 60% Baitai water dispersible granules 8 grams to 30 jin of water respectively. Spray the soil of the seedbed before making the bowl so that the solution will permeate all the soil. After the cotton seedlings come out, it is necessary to spray in time to prevent the invasion of foreign germs. Sprayable agents such as 1 ∶ 2 ∶ 200 Bordeaux solution or 0.01% Baoliang, etc.

Second, can herbicides be applied on the cotton nutrition bowl seedling bed? The problem of grass damage is often encountered in cotton seedling cultivation in nutrition bowl, and sometimes weeds will cause grass barren seedlings, which seriously inhibit the growth and development of cotton seedlings. The serious shortage of grass on the seedling bed is often caused by two reasons: one is that the newly selected seedbed is too late to plough the Kang soil, and the weeds are not cleaned in winter, spring and hoe, leaving residual weeds to breed; second, the application of farm fertilizer is applied with incomplete mature fertilizer, and the seeds of weeds are brought into the seedbed and propagated rapidly. Therefore, in order to apply herbicides before emergence after cotton sowing, one can choose 48% lasso EC 150 ml per mu, or 72% Dur EC 150 ml per mu, which can be sprayed with 60 kg of water, respectively, and 23% bedgrass EC can be sprayed with 80 jin of water per mu, which can effectively prevent the harm of weeds.
