Fertilizer is the food for the growth of tea trees and the material basis for increasing the yield and improving the quality of tea. Therefore, fertilization plays an important role in the growth of tea trees and the yield and quality of tea. Good fertilization technology can maximize the yield-increasing effect of fertilization, maintain and improve the good quality of tea, maintain the exuberant growth trend of tea, and at the same time help to restore and improve soil fertility. However, if improper fertilization, not only can not increase the yield of tea, but also cause a serious decline in tea quality, and even adversely affect the growth of tea trees. Therefore, the fertilization of tea garden requires that the fertilizer should be made according to the land, and appropriate fertilizer types and fertilization methods should be adopted in order to give full play to the fertilizer effect and achieve the purpose of fertilization.

Tea fertilization should take into account the characteristics of varieties, soil conditions, yield level, cultivation methods and other factors. In addition, it is mainly organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer is used together.

Organic fertilizer is a comprehensive fertilizer, rich in organic matter, slow and long-lasting fertilizer effect, has a good impact on the growth of tea, improve the yield and quality of tea, and can improve soil. Therefore, fertilization must be based on organic fertilizer. The traditional organic fertilizer commonly used in tea includes manure, stable manure, cake fertilizer, compost, green manure and so on. At present, special organic fertilizer for tea has been launched in the market, which has the advantages of pertinence, high efficiency and convenient application compared with traditional organic fertilizer. Inorganic fertilizer is a kind of quick-acting fertilizer, and its effect is fast. In the vigorous season of tea tree growth and picking, it needs to consume a lot of nutrients, and some elements are often insufficient. It must be replenished in time to meet the normal needs of tea plant growth. Therefore, it is necessary to apply inorganic quick-acting fertilizer. The nitrogen fertilizers commonly used in traditional tea fertilizers include ammonia sulfate, ammonia nitrate, ammonia bicarbonate and urea; phosphate fertilizer has calcium superphosphate, phosphate rock powder and bone powder; potassium fertilizer has potassium sulfate and potassium chloride. At present, it is mainly the application of special compound fertilizer for tea.

Specific measures and dosage are: 1. Base fertilizer (mid-late October, late November): 40% nitrogen fertilizer, 50% phosphate fertilizer, 40% potash fertilizer 2, the first topdressing (end of May): 30% nitrogen fertilizer, 25% phosphate fertilizer, 30% potash fertilizer 3, the second topdressing (end of July): 30% nitrogen fertilizer, 25% phosphate fertilizer, 30% potash fertilizer.
