In the fertilization of tea, there are many problems in our province, such as insufficient amount of organic fertilizer, unreasonable proportion of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and so on. On the basis of insisting on the combination of organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer, the total amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be controlled, especially the amount of nitrogen fertilizer in the later stage should be controlled to improve the quality of tea. Attention should be paid to the combined application of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers and the balanced application of trace elements. In the way of fertilization, base and topdressing should be applied deeply, and the soil should be covered immediately after application, and the depth of soil cover should be more than 6.5 cm. The application of chlorine-containing chemical fertilizers is strictly prohibited and sulfur-containing special formula fertilizers are vigorously promoted.

The total amount of fertilizer. The application rate of organic fertilizer is about 2000 kg per mu. The yield of tea per mu (fresh leaves, the same below) is less than 250 kg, with 12 kg of nitrogen fertilizer, 6 kg of phosphorus fertilizer and 8 kg of potassium fertilizer per mu. The yield is 250-350 kg per mu, 11 kg nitrogen fertilizer, 5.5 kg phosphate fertilizer and 7.5 kg potash fertilizer per mu. The yield per mu is more than 350 kg, with 10 kg of nitrogen fertilizer, 5 kg of phosphate fertilizer and 7 kg of potash fertilizer per mu.

The proportion of fertilizer application. Base fertilizer: 100% organic fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer, 40% nitrogen and potassium fertilizer are generally applied in combination with deep ploughing as base fertilizer from September to November. Topdressing: applied during the beginning of tea sprouting and shoot growth, mainly available nitrogen fertilizer with more nitrogen, combined application of nitrogen and potassium fertilizer, and timely topdressing after tea picking every season. The proportion of nitrogen and potassium fertilizer topdressing in spring, summer and autumn accounted for 25%, 20% and 15% of the total fertilizer application, respectively.

The application method is to dig a wide fertilizer ditch with a depth of 15-25 cm between two rows of tea trees, mix the fertilizer well and apply it deeply, and cover the soil in time after application.
