Tea seedlings in our province are mostly planted from November to February of the second year, but there is less rainfall after the Beginning of Autumn this year, which is very likely to occur in autumn, winter and spring. Attention should be paid to the management of newly planted tea seedlings.

1. Drought resistance and seedling protection

Tea seedlings in the early stage of planting (within a month), to keep the nearby soil moist, because the recent dry weather, can be watered once a day, each time to pay attention to watering thoroughly. Because the temperature is higher at noon now, don't water it at noon, you can water it every afternoon or evening.

2. Proper shading

Due to the poor adaptability of tea seedlings to light, they can build a shade shed or shade with branches and leaves after planting.

3. Covering with grass

Grass mulching in tea garden can prevent soil erosion, preserve water, prevent drought, inhibit the growth of weeds, stabilize soil temperature, improve soil fertility and survival rate.

4. Remove weeds

The crown of the newly planted tea garden is small and the weeds grow fast, so they should be pulled out as soon as possible so as not to damage the roots of young trees due to the loosening of the weeds.

5. Apply thin fertilizer frequently

Two months after the tea seedlings were planted, 20% of the mature human urine was drenched once a month when the seedlings began to come back to life.
