The method of planting and continuous land preparation of Coptis chinensis natural forest
Land preparation can be carried out after the land has been selected. Generally carried out in autumn, the bamboo and thatch in the forest will be cut off and cut off, and the woodland will be cleared, and all the trees will be left uncut. According to the shade of the crown, generally the shade degree should be more than 70%, cut down the small trees with too much shade, and when cutting down the trees, we should also take into account whether the trees have any effect on the open compartment (that is, the bed). The principle is that the shade is uniform and the shade is good. Then dig the soil 12 to 15 centimeters deep, remove all the sundries, such as tree roots, bamboo roots, grass roots and stones, out of the forest, spread them out to dry, and then smoke them into smoked soil (fire ash). After the ground is dug, it is leveled first, and then the box is opened (to make the border). According to the mountain topography, the width of the border is 1.5 meters, the width of the ditch is 20 centimeters, and the depth is 10 centimeters. The length of the border depends on the topography, generally every 8 to 10 meters open a 30 cm wide horizontal trench, the transverse ditch had better be inclined to open, so that drainage is smooth. After the border is done, drainage ditches can be opened around the woodland to prevent mountain torrents caused by torrential rain from flowing into the forest and destroying Coptis chinensis seedlings in the border. The drainage ditch should be wide, generally 50 to 60 centimeters wide and 30 centimeters deep. If the planting area is larger, one or two main drainage ditches can be opened in the forest. Avoid trees as far as possible when opening the ditch, so that the drainage can be smooth. After the embryonic form of the border is done, base fertilizer can be applied, applying 45000 to 75000 kg of organic fertilizer such as rotten barnyard manure, compost or soil manure per hectare, and then shallow digging to mix the fertilizer with the topsoil, then cover it with 3 to 5 centimeters of fumigation and shape the border into a tile back.

Field management measures of Coptis chinensis
1. Seedling replenishment: in the first 3 years after planting, seedlings should be replenished in time. Generally, the seedlings were replenished twice, the first time was in the autumn of the current year, and the second time was before the new leaves were released after snowmelt in the following year. 2. Weeding: weeding in the same year and the following year, weeding and loosening topsoil in time, weeding 4-5 times a year, chemical herbicides can also be used

Control of powdery mildew of Coptis chinensis
Coptis chinensis is afraid of high heat, likes low temperature, likes cool and humid, and is generally suitable to be planted at an altitude of 800m-1500 m. In large-scale production, high temperature and humidity in summer and autumn can easily lead to a large number of Coptis powdery mildew, seriously affecting the growth and development of Coptis chinensis. The main symptoms of powdery mildew of Coptis chinensis are
