Cultivation of Rhizoma Chuanxiong
Ligusticum chuanxiong, also known as Rhizoma Chuanxiong and Ligusticum chuanxiong, is an authentic medicinal material in Sichuan. It is mainly produced in Xindu District of Chengdu, Shiyang Town of Dujiangyan, Aoping Town of Pengzhou, Liaojia Town of Shongzhou, Huayuan Town of Pixian County and Shifang and other places. Ligusticum chuanxiong has high requirements for natural conditions, except for the above areas, other places are not suitable for the development of Ligusticum chuanxiong.
Ligusticum chuanxiong likes the mild climate, abundant rainfall, sufficient sunshine and humid environment. However, cold climatic conditions are required in the cultivation stage and storage period of Ligusticum chuanxiong Ling. The growth period is 280-290 days. In Pingba area, sandy loam with deep soil layer, loose and fertile soil, good drainage, rich organic matter, neutral or slightly acidic sandy loam should be selected. Like organic fertilizer, on the basis of general farm fertilizer, adding nitrogen fertilizer can significantly increase yield, combined application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can increase yield more.
Ligusticum chuanxiong was propagated asexually. The breeding material of Ligusticum chuanxiong is aboveground stem node, commonly known as "Lingzi" or "Xionglingzi". Sichuan, the main producing area, mostly chooses mountain areas with an altitude of 900-1500 meters to cultivate "Lingzi" for planting on flat or hilly land.
Breed cultivation of Scutellaria baicalensis
Select land preparation to choose cool climate Gaoshan Yangshan, or low mountain semi-overcast semi-Yangshan wasteland or clay loam. Before planting, remove weeds, reclaim and refine the mountain, dig loose soil 30 centimeters, and make a bed 1.5 meters wide.
Breeding Lingzi dug up Ligusticum chuanxiong in the dam area from late December to early February of the following year, and removed the fibrous root and soil called "Fuxiong". Then transported to the mountain areas above 1000 meters above sea level to cultivate "Lingzi".
Before the Beginning of Spring, the fine border surface was leveled and raked, and Rhizoma Ligustici was planted according to large, medium and small grades. The row-plant spacing is 30 × 30 cm, 25 × 25 cm and 20 × 20 cm, respectively. The hole is 6-7 cm deep, one for each hole, one for the big one, and two for the small one. The bud mouth is up, and the plant is steadily compacted. Then, compost or water compost is applied and the hole surface is covered with soil.
Tending and management emerged in early March. After finishing the seedlings, one time of intermediate ploughing and weeding was carried out, and the seedlings were thinned; first, the soil was removed, the top of the rhizome was exposed, and 8-10 stems with uniform thickness and strong growth were selected, and the rest were pulled out. From the end of March to the end of April, weeding should be done once in the middle tillage, and shallow hoe should be used to avoid root injury. Combined with ploughing and weeding, organic fertilizer was applied once, each time 2500 kg of human and animal manure water and 100kg of rapeseed cake were applied per mu.
Harvest Ling seed in the middle and late July, when the stem node disk is significantly dilated, purplish and the stem is red, pick it in the morning on cloudy or sunny days. After harvesting, remove rotten plants and keep healthy plants. remove leaves, cut off the rhizome, called "Ligusticum chuanxiong", can also be used as medicine. Then, the harvested stalks are bundled into small bundles and transported to shady caves for storage as breeding materials.
Lingzi is stored in caves or in a cool room. During storage, first lay a layer of thatch on the ground, staggered the stalks on top of it, and then cover it with thatch. Turn it up and down once in 7-10 days. The Beginning of Autumn before taking out, according to the size of the section, cut into 3-4 cm long short section, each section must be left in the middle of a node plate, that is, "Lingzi". Every 100 kg of "Fu Xiong" can produce 200-250 kg of "Lingzi". Then, select, grade, and plant respectively.
Planting technology
Select land for land preparation and cultivate breeding materials in mountainous areas, remove weeds after land selection, burn ash on the spot as base fertilizer, the cultivated land is about 25 cm deep, rake fine and level, and make a border 1.7-1.8 meters wide according to topography and drainage conditions. Cultivated in Pingba area, the former cropping is mostly early rice (the first crop of early rice had better be green manure such as vetch and Ziyunying). After harvest, the rice pile was shoveled and ditched for border, the width of the border was about 1.6 meters, the width of the ditch was 33 cm, and the depth was about 25 cm. It is best to spread the border surface with compost or stable manure and mix it with the topsoil when digging.
Planting should be carried out before and after the Beginning of Autumn, no later than the end of August. Early, the seedlings are easy to wither under the influence of high temperature; too late, the temperature has dropped, which is disadvantageous to the growth of rhizomes. Planting should be carried out on a sunny day, and it is better to finish planting on the same day. Before planting, remove all budless or damaged buds, stem nodes bitten by insects, nodal worms, or budding Ling Zi. Then, plant according to the size of Lingzi. When planting, open a shallow trench horizontally on the border surface, with a row spacing of 30-40 cm and a depth of about 3 cm. Then, according to the plant distance of 17-20 cm, put Lingzi obliquely into the ditch, press the bud head upward and gently press it, it should not be too deep or too shallow, and half of it should be exposed on the soil surface. At the same time, two chestnuts should be planted at each end of the row, and every 10 rows should be planted again.
The seed of Ling is used to replenish seedlings. After planting, cover the node plate of Lingzi with fine soil manure or fire soil ash mixed compost. Finally, cover the border with a layer of straw to avoid direct sunlight and Rain Water erosion. Use 30-40 kilograms of Lingzi per mu. Sichuan medicine farmers mostly use the "Bodhoge rake", a special tool for planting Ling, with high speed and good quality.
