More attention should be paid before planting Szechuan lovage rhizome
The root of Ligusticum chuanxiong is used to make tea, which has the effects of mellow and delicious, cool and thirsty, dispelling wind and relieving pain, promoting qi and activating blood circulation and so on.
1. Cultivation methods.
Ligusticum chuanxiong was cultured with stems. Before planting, the soil should be ploughed deeply, 120kg of phosphate fertilizer should be used every 667m2, 1500 kg of farm manure should be mixed as base fertilizer, fine rake and leveling should be used to make beds. When planting, select robust stem nodes of the same size, same thickness and disease-free as seedlings, remove the top tip and cut them into small pieces of about 3 centimeters, each with a node plate, each end of which is 1.6cm long. after cutting, put it in the sunny leeward wet place, soak the seeds with 1000 times of carbendazim, or spray it with 1000 times of wettable phoxim, or soak it with 1:10 garlic juice to control underground pests such as ground tigers. Then pile it up and cover it with sacks. 3-5 days later, when white buds appear on the node plate, it can be planted.
It is better to plant Ligusticum chuanxiong from Greater Heat to the Beginning of Autumn (from early July to early August). Dig holes according to row spacing 33 cm, plant spacing 26 cm, hole depth 3-7 cm, 1-2 seedlings per hole, bud mouth upward when planting, about 3 cm covered with soil, and then irrigate the planting nest with clear dung water.
2. Field management.
Hoe the seedling once when the seedling is 7 cm high, and check the seedling to replenish the seedling at the same time. When it grows to 10 centimeters, water it once with clear dung water. After that, weed and loosen the soil every month or so, and fertilize once every 30-40 days. The first application of nitrogen fertilizer, the rest of the application of compound fertilizer or human feces and urine, and spraying Daizhuangsu and insecticides, fungicides, frequent weeding, fine ploughing. In the third fertilization, 12.5 kg of chemical fertilizer (urea) was used to irrigate the dung water every 667 square meters. at the same time, the soil around the plant was pulled out, the old yellow foot leaves below were removed, and all the excess branches were removed, leaving 3-4 main stems per plant to facilitate root block expansion and cultivate robust Chuanxiong Lingzi. When applying the fourth fertilizer, rape oil cake and plant ash can be applied around the plant. Drainage should be carried out in time after rain to prevent root rot. When blooming, the buds should be removed in time to promote root growth. After autumn, when the old leaves of the main moss turn gray, cut off the new leaves 5 centimeters away from the foundation, apply heavy fertilizer and spray Yemanbao.
3. Disease and pest control.
The insect pests of Ligusticum chuanxiong are mainly cotton insects and stem node insects. If insects are found, they can be controlled by spraying pesticides such as dichlorvos and 1605 until the pests are eliminated. The main disease is root rot. When planting Ligusticum chuanxiong, we should choose the stem without disease as seed, and often drain and loosen the soil to keep the soil from hardening, so as to prevent the disease. If it is found that there is a disease, stone sulfur mixture can be used to irrigate seedlings with water.
4. Harvest and processing
It is usually harvested after the Summer Solstice. When digging, remove the stems and leaves, dig up the whole plant, shake off the sediment and turn it into a commodity. In case of cloudy and rainy days, it can be dried with smokeless firewood and sold.
