The nursery land should choose sandy soil with sunny, deep soil layer, loose and fertile soil and convenient drainage and irrigation. After the land is selected, 3500 kg of barnyard manure, 100kg of cake fertilizer and 50kg of superphosphate are applied per mu, and then turned 30 cm deep, raked fine and leveled to make a high border with a width of 1.2m and a height of 20cm. The planting site can be selected from the sunny sloping land of Zhongshan in the mountain area, deeply turned and raked flat and planted in holes.

Propagation can be done by seed, cuttage, striping, plant division, grafting and other methods, mainly by seed propagation. The seed life of Eucommia ulmoides is short, and the germination rate of Eucommia ulmoides seeds in the next year is very low, so new seeds must be collected and sown. Female plants with strong growth, straight and sturdy trunk, thick skin and hypertrophic leaves, which have not been peeled for more than 20 years, should be selected as seed collection mother plants. From the end of October to the beginning of November, when the pericarp of the fruit is light brown, collect the seeds and spread them out in a cool and ventilated place to dry.

Choose fresh, full, light brown, glossy seeds for autumn or spring sowing. Autumn sowing can be sown with picking, and spring sowing should be treated with wet sand stratification. Spring sowing takes place from late March to early April when the temperature is stable above 10 ℃. On the whole seedbed, open a ditch with a depth of 2mi 3cm according to the row spacing of 25ml 30cm. Sow the seeds evenly into the ditch, cover the fine soil 2cm thick, flatten the border surface, and cover the grass to moisturize and keep warm. The sowing quantity is 6m / mu and 8kg / mu Always keep the bed moist, and seedlings can emerge in about 15 days. After 1-2 years of cultivation, the seedlings can be planted with a height of 80ml / 100cm.

The planting was carried out after defoliation in autumn and winter or before sprouting in spring.
