In June and July every year, after the second physiological fruit drop, the citrus usually does not drop the fruit, but then the fruit will crack to varying degrees. The peak period of fruit cracking usually occurs in the first ten days of August and from the end of August to the beginning of September. Citrus fruit cracking is one of the important physiological diseases in the period of strong fruit, which generally occurs in various places, causing fruit drop in the strong fruit period, often resulting in a large reduction in yield. and will induce diseases and insect pests, resulting in citrus fruit rot and shedding.

Analysis of the causes of citrus fruit cracking: first, the differences among varieties. In the same orchard, the fruit cracking conditions of different varieties are different, and the thickness of the skin is uneven, especially the varieties with thinner skin at the top of the fruit are the most likely to crack. Second, drought is caused, and sudden rainfall or irrigation after a long drought is the main inducing factor. If the fruit is dry for a long time during the expansion period of the citrus fruit, the pericarp shrinks and grows slowly, and the pulp absorbs a large amount of water and grows fast after rain, but the growth rate of the pericarp is slower than that of the pulp, which causes the pericarp to crack by the swelling pressure of the pulp and produce mechanical cracking. The third is the influence of soil moisture. For example, the soil water content is often in a state of saturation, resulting in asphyxiation and death of new roots, which will cause fruit cracking when the rain stops and clears up suddenly, and the early soil water can aggravate the occurrence of fruit cracking. The prevention and control methods are introduced as follows:

1. Keep the high and moderate water content in the soil so that the water supply of citrus will not change dramatically. It is necessary to irrigate in time during drought. Generally, if there is no Rain Water for half a month, it is necessary to irrigate once to fight drought. In the high temperature and dry season, irrigation is required once every 10 days. Tree plates are covered with grass to prevent soil water evaporation. When waterlogging, ditches should be opened in time for drainage, and shallow ploughing should be carried out after heavy rain. Don't fertilize immediately after a long drought and rainfall.

2. Increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and apply foliar fertilizer frequently. At the end of July or the first and middle of August, each plant was treated with 50ml 70kg of rotten human and animal feces, 0.3 kg of urea and 0.2 kg of potassium chloride, and the soil was covered and irrigated in time after fertilization. Citrus trees with too many fruits should be applied more nitrogen fertilizer to increase the thickness of the pericarp. During the drought period, different varieties of foliar fertilizer are alternately sprayed every 7 Mel 10 days, such as spraying Guoguang triacontanol plus urea at the beginning of drought, followed by application of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and potassium amino acid potassium dihydrogen phosphate, high temperature phase of drought stability, spraying ammonium molybdate foliar fertilizer 48 min 52 days before picking, such as Guoguang amino acid molybdenum, "Honghe Tian", etc., which can not only reduce fruit cracking, but also promote fruit expansion.

3. Keep the growth and development of peel and pulp balanced. During the expansion period of citrus fruit, there is no rain for a long time, so Guoguang must be used for comprehensive control. 600 times solution of fruit cracking is sprayed on the fruit-bearing part of the crown in the evening, and the middle and lower part of the crown which is easy to crack fruit is the key part of spraying. Spraying once a week, three times in a row, and spraying once before the heavy rain, its anti-cracking effect is more than 95% higher than that of other methods, and can basically solve the effect of fruit cracking disease. the principle is that cracking must contain a variety of highly active substances and a variety of chelated nutrients (such as potassium, phosphorus, boron, calcium, rare earth, etc.), which is easy to absorb and can provide comprehensive and balanced nutrients and regulatory substances for fruit and pulp growth. Promote its balanced growth, regulate the synchronous development of pericarp and pulp, and prevent the occurrence of fruit cracking.

4. The cracked fruit should be removed in time so as not to continue to consume tree nutrients and water, and to prevent the invasion of diseases and insect pests.
