The experience of when to top fertilizer when planting jujube

Topdressing must be applied when jujube trees need nutrients most in the growing season. If the period of topdressing is not correct, the goal of topdressing can not be achieved, and sometimes it can counteract to reduce the yield and quality of jujube, resulting in a waste of labor and fertilizer. According to the characteristics of jujube phenological phase, jujube topdressing can be divided into four periods.

The main results are as follows: (1) before germination (the first and middle 4 months), the topdressing is mainly nitrogen fertilizer, properly combined with phosphate fertilizer. Its function is to make jujube sprout neatly, branches and leaves grow healthily, which is beneficial to flower bud differentiation. For jujube orchards with insufficient application of base fertilizer or weak tree potential, this topdressing is particularly important.

(2) topdressing before flowering (late May), mixed with phosphate fertilizer. The function of topdressing is to promote flowering and fruit setting and increase the fruit setting rate. To avoid a large number of falling flowers and fruits due to the fierce competition of overlapping nutrients in phenological phases.

(3) during the young fruit development period (from late June to early July), nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer was applied to promote the growth of young fruit, prevent a large number of fruit drop and increase the number of fruit.

(4) the rapid fruit growing period is in the fruit growing period (early and middle August). The combined application of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and properly increasing the amount of potassium fertilizer is beneficial to fruit enlargement and photosynthesis, increase fruit sugar content and fruit quality. it is beneficial to improve the storage nutrients of the tree.
