Management of planting jujube after fruit picking

At the end of June and the beginning of July, jujube fruit matured into the harvest stage one after another. in order to speed up the recovery of tree potential, promote strong autumn shoots, cultivate excellent fruiting mother branches, and lay a good foundation for high and stable yield in the coming year, it is necessary to strengthen clear garden pruning, fertilizer and water management and pest control after jujube fruit harvest. The specific measures are as follows:

1. After pruning jujube trees in the clear orchard, all kinds of weeds, fallen leaves and fruits in the orchard must be removed in time, the shady branches inside the crown must be cut off, the disease and insect branches, weak branches, over-dense branches, overlapping branches, dry and withered branches and branches damaged during fruit picking outside the crown must be cut short, and the long branches grown from adventitious buds should be cut short, and then burned outside the orchard, or buried deep in the orchard.

2. Postharvest fertilizer was applied to jujube trees within 5-10 days after fruit harvest, mainly high-quality organic fertilizer and complete fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, supplemented with trace elements. For trees over 5 years old, each tree is 15 kilograms of mature human and animal manure, 1 kilogram of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer, 0.5 kilogram of zinc sulfate, digging ring trenches of 15 centimeters deep and 20 centimeters wide around the crown dripping line, mixing all fertilizers evenly, applying them in the ring ditch and covering the soil.

3. After fruit harvest, 0.1% zinc sulfate, 0.1% magnesium sulfate, 0.3% urea, 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 1000 times triacontanol must be sprayed on the leaf surface every 7 to 10 days, and continuously sprayed for 3 times. It can prevent postharvest fallen leaves, speed up the recovery of tree potential, promote strong autumn shoots, and improve the quality of fruiting mother branches.

4. after the autumn shoots of jujube trees for disease and pest control are extracted, the mixed solution of 1000 foliar, 800x Redomir, 800x trichlorfon, 600x insecticidal alum, or the mixture of 1000 times dichlorvos and 800x methyl topiramate must be sprayed on each leaf surface once, respectively, when the new shoots are sprouting, spreading leaves and turning green, respectively, in order to eliminate the diseases and pests that harm the new shoots.

5. after applying postharvest fertilizer, the jujube must be covered with dry rice straw or other weeds with a thickness of 8 cm to 10 cm, so as to keep the soil moist, improve the effect of postharvest fertilization, prevent the underground roots from being damaged by high temperature and drought in summer and autumn, and enhance the drought resistance of the plant, which is beneficial to the restoration of tree potential and the emergence of autumn shoots.
