Witches' broom disease of jujube is a viral disease harmed by mycoplastids, which is transmitted by ring leafhopper insects, or by sprouting of rhizome and leaf seedlings or grafted seedlings and carrying bacteria on rootstocks. The incidence of the disease is more common in the area, which often becomes the "cancer" in jujube cultivation.

At present, there are several prevention and treatment methods with certain therapeutic effects: 1. When propagating jujube seedlings, select the root tillers of disease-free mother seedlings, take the buds on disease-free mother plants, and select disease-free rootstocks. two。 Trees that have been diseased should be treated differently according to the severity of the disease, that is, trees with initial disease and those with mild disease should be treated differently. Cutting off diseased branches and reducing the source of disease can control the aggravation of the disease. Those who have no disease in the whole branch should be cut off in time to avoid spread. 3. Chemical control (only applicable to lightly diseased jujube trees) can be injected with tetracycline hydrochloride (or oxytetracycline hydrochloride). Four general medical tetracycline tablets (or oxytetracycline tablets, 0.25 unit / tablet) were powdered. Take water 100cc (ml), first take 25-30 ml of water, add 1 ml of hydrochloric acid, then add tetracycline into the powder, shake well, then pair the remaining 75X70 ml of water, shake well and set aside. When in use, first spray the diseased branch with the prepared liquid, and then slowly inject the prepared medicine into the diseased branch by means of hanging injection. 3. Inject the medicine solution on the corresponding root under the diseased branch. The method of pouring roots with salt water can also be used. Watering the roots with about 1-3% salt water is a common soil method used by the masses.
