The use of artificial and agricultural methods, clean orchards, eliminate the source of overwintering diseases and insect pests, effectively eliminate pests and depress the overwintering base.

1. Sweep the fallen leaves: fallen leaves are one of the main overwintering parts of many diseases and pests, such as cherry brown spot, black ring disease and other pathogens are overwintering on the damaged leaves, and leaf roll moths and other pests are lurking in the damaged leaves as pupae or adults. Therefore, after the end of the fallen cherry leaves, thoroughly sweeping the fallen leaves, burying or directly retting fertilizer, and eliminating the overwintering diseases and pests on the fallen leaves can greatly reduce the number of diseases and pests in the following year.

2. combined with pruning, pruning of diseases and insect pests: winter pruning is not only an important technical measure for cherry tree management, but also an effective method to eliminate overwintering diseases and insect pests during dormancy. Reasonable pruning can adjust the tree load, improve the ventilation and light transmission conditions of the orchard, promote the healthy growth of fruit trees, and improve their resistance to diseases and insect pests. At the same time, combined with pruning, cut off the overwintering diseases and insects on the branches, such as leaf roll moth, peach aphid, tumor aphid, red spider and so on, and burn the pruned branches to eliminate the overwintering diseases and insect pests.

3. Deep planing disk: there are many overwintering diseases and insects lurking in the soil under the crown. Before the soil is frozen, the deep planing disk can directly kill some of the heart-eating insects, pear net bugs, pear star caterpillars, boat caterpillars, Hawthorn red spiders (winter-type female adult mites overwintering in the soil crevices around the root neck, under deciduous leaves, weeds) and so on. At the same time, by turning the soil, some pests can be exposed to the soil surface, which are either pecked by birds or frozen to death in the cold winter.

4. Scraping off warped skin, rough skin and diseased tumor: the warped skin and rough skin on the trunk are the main overwintering places for diseases and insect pests, such as mountain red spider (winter-type female adult mite), leaf curl moth, pear heart borer, pear star caterpillar and so on. Most of the above pests can be eliminated by scraping off the warped skin and rough skin. Scrape off the tumor of root cancer, glue block, root cancer with 1% copper sulfate, 80% 402 antibacterial agent EC 50 times or scrape the spot with 40% arsenic wettable powder 30 times solution, glue disease with 50% bacillus 50% sulfur suspension 250g mixed. It plays a good role in reducing the source of infection in the coming year.

5. Protect the wound and close the saw cut. Pruning the wound left on the tree in winter is not only a way for germs to invade people, but also a place for some pests to survive the winter. Can use varnish or tung oil to add the right amount of lard to protect the wound and prevent the invasion of germs.
