Many people have eaten bamboo shoots, and perhaps many people have witnessed the growth of bamboo shoots. when I was a child, I often saw how bamboo shoots on my doorstep grew into sky-long bamboo shoots, but now people know more and more about bamboo shoots. Bamboo shoots were poached before they could grow into bamboo.

What are bamboo shoots?

Bamboo shoots are the buds of bamboo, also known as shoots. Bamboo is a perennial evergreen herb, the edible part is primary, tender fat, short and strong buds or whips. Bamboo is native to China with many types, strong adaptability and wide distribution. There are 30 genera and 550 species in the world, which are abundant in tropical, subtropical and temperate regions. China is one of the most bamboo-producing countries in the world, with 22 genera and more than 200 species, distributed all over the country, with the most in the Pearl River Basin and the Yangtze River Basin. There are only a few dwarf bamboos growing in the north of Qinling Mountains.

Seedling raising methods of bamboo shoots

In order to choose a good mother bamboo, the mother bamboo should choose "narrow leaf bamboo", which is characterized by small and narrow leaves, light green leaves, flat bamboo knots, cannon-shaped shoots, thick meat, early shoot emergence, long shooting period and high yield. The two-year-old "Luohua bamboo" is the best mother bamboo, and the old bamboo more than three years old is not suitable to be the mother bamboo, because the old bamboo has fewer buds on the whip, the ability to shoot is poor, and the survival rate of transplantation is low. Mother bamboo with breast diameter of about 3 cm, shallow head, low branches, no diseases and insect pests, strong growth is better.

The main results are as follows: 1. To raise seedlings by burying whips, choose new bamboos for 1 or 2 years, preferably with bamboo poles. There are 2 living branches on the bamboo poles, 3000 / 5000 seedlings per mu, and 15000 / 20000 seedlings can be produced.

2. Sowing and raising seedlings, sowing 10-15 kg per mu, can produce 30000-40000 seedlings. The key is that the seedlings must be shaded in the seedling stage to reduce the direct sunlight, resulting in the death of the seedlings. And strengthen the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests.

Planting techniques of bamboo shoots

I. selection of land and land preparation

Whether it is burying whip seedlings or sowing seedlings, the loose and light yellow loam should be chosen as the best soil. The soil layer is more than 30 cm, but it can grow in heavy yellow soil and yellow brown soil, and it grows best in fertile, loose and slightly acidic soil. Soil preparation is mainly hole-like soil preparation, with a specification of 60 × 60 × 50 cm. After the pond is finished, the topsoil should be returned to the pond, which should reach more than 2/3 of the depth of the pond. If possible, barnyard manure can be applied in the pond with sufficient organic fertilizer.

II. Rational planting

The main results are as follows: 1. The appropriate planting density is mainly determined according to the type of seedlings. Because square bamboo belongs to mixed bamboo species, the one-to two-year-old seedlings are underdeveloped, and the whip is slow after transplantation. The propagation seedling of Phyllostachys pubescens has large thick buds and can walk more than 1 meter per year after transplanting. In order to make square bamboo forest can obtain better benefit in 5-8 years, the planting density is more than 100 seedlings per mu. There are more than 74 bamboo whip breeding seedlings per mu. According to the local economic conditions, the planting density can be increased appropriately.

2. During the one-month period from late February to mid-March after the snow break in early spring, the planting survival rate is the highest, reaching more than 90%.

Planting methods of bamboo shoots

Because the root system of bamboo seedlings has a high degree of Lignification and the placement time after seedling is too long, it is easy to cause water loss of bamboo seedlings and affect the survival rate, so it is not easy to transport over a long distance. In order to ensure the survival rate, it is generally not more than 72 hours from the seedling to the end of planting. The survival rate is relatively high within 48 hours. And pulp the roots immediately after rising the seedlings. If long-distance transportation is needed, the roots should be wrapped with straw in a bundle of 30 plants. Different planting methods can be used according to the size of bamboo seedlings, and the seedlings of one to two years can be planted in the center and ensure that the bamboo stems are upright. For seedlings propagated by bamboo whip for more than two years, the bamboo pole should be cut first, and then the height of the seedling is about 60 cm. After planting, the bamboo rod is inverted to the bottom of the hillside, at an angle of 45 °with the horizontal plane, and only 1 or 2 living branches are left outside the soil to reduce moisture and improve the survival rate.

According to the current demand market for bamboo shoots in China, wild bamboo shoots are far from being able to meet everyone's needs, so planting bamboo shoots has become a favorite project for many people. However, there is still a certain planting technology for planting bamboo shoots, and mastering its planting technology can achieve twice the result with half the effort.
