Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Cucumis sativus, a plant of the cucumbers family cucurbitaceae. Also known as cucumber, cucumber. Fruit color is green or green, the surface has soft small thorns. Cucumbers like warmth, not cold. The optimum temperature for growth was 10~32℃. Generally, it grows best at 25~32℃ during the day and 15~18℃ at night.

Cucumber, cucumber genus of Cucurbitaceae. Also known as cucumber and cucumber. The color of the fruit is oil green or emerald green, with soft spines on the surface. Cucumbers prefer warmth to the cold. The suitable temperature for fertility is 10-32 ℃. Generally, the growth is the best at 25: 32 ℃ in daytime and 15: 18 ℃ at night, the most suitable ground temperature is 20: 25 ℃, and the lowest is about 15 ℃. The most suitable temperature difference between day and night is 10: 15 ℃. The photosynthesis of cucumber was poor at 35 ℃, high temperature obstacle appeared at 45 ℃, and the cucumber was frozen to death at-20 ℃. If the seedlings were refined at low temperature, they could withstand the low temperature of 3 ℃.

The yield of cucumber is high and water demand is high. The suitable soil moisture is 60-90%. The moisture in the seedling stage should not be too much, and the soil moisture is 60-70%. In the result period, sufficient water must be supplied, and the soil moisture should be 80-90%. The suitable air relative humidity of cucumber is 60-90%. If the air relative humidity is too high, it is easy to get sick, resulting in a reduction in production.

Cucumber likes wet but not resistant to waterlogging and fertilizer but not resistant to fertilizer, so it is appropriate to choose fertile soil rich in organic matter. The soil between pH 5.5 and 7.2 is generally preferred, but the pH value of 6.5 is the best.

"two methods" Control of Cucumber Botrytis cinerea

Once the occurrence of cucumber gray mold, and then encounter cloudy and rainy weather, the humidity in the shed is too large, the disease will spread rapidly, seriously affecting the yield of cucumber. Therefore, correct and timely diagnosis of this disease and effective prevention and control is an important guarantee for farmers to increase their high yield and income. Now we will introduce two kinds of prevention and control methods of cucumber gray mold.

The main symptoms of Botrytis cinerea of cucumber: the disease starts from the invading female flowers, and at the beginning, waterlogged spots are produced on the pedicel, gradually growing grayish-brown mildew layer, causing floral organs to soften, atrophy and rot, and gradually expand to young melons. Melon strips first yellow, later produce white mold and gradually turn into light gray, resulting in diseased melon growth stop, softening, decay and atrophy, and finally rot and fall off. When the leaf is infected, the disease spot is water-stained at first, and then becomes an irregular light brown spot with obvious edge.

"two methods" for prevention and control of cucumber gray mold:

1. Smoke method: use 20% Sukeling smoke agent, 200-250 grams per mu, or 50% Nongliling smoke agent, 250 grams per mu. Smoke for 3-4 hours. You can generally smoke in the evening and open the doors and windows the next morning for ventilation.

2. Dust method: spray 10% Sodium Dust Agent, or 5% Chlorothalonil Dust Agent, or 10% Chlorothalonil Dust Agent in the evening, 1 kg per mu, spray once every 7-10 days, and spray 2-3 times alternately in the frontier. The preventive effect of the above-mentioned fungicides is better than the therapeutic effect, and the dosage should be appropriately increased after the disease.
