Eight measures to increase the yield of potatoes
Potato (scientific name: Solanum tuberosum, English: potato), Solanaceae, annual herbs, also known as egg, potato, potato and so on. Potato is a tuber reproduction, can be used as medicine, sexual flat taste sweet, can treat stomachache, ribs, carbuncle swelling and other diseases. As a food, its preservation period should not be too long, it must be kept at low temperature, dry and airtight. (note: young buds are slightly toxic), there is evidence that the vitamin C content of potatoes is about 4 times that of apples.
The nutritional value of potatoes
Potatoes are rich in dietary fiber, which helps to promote gastrointestinal peristalsis and dredge the intestines.
In addition, potato tubers contain carotene and ascorbic acid that are not found in cereal grains. From a nutritional point of view, it has more advantages than rice and flour, can provide a lot of heat energy to the human body, and can be called "perfect food". People only rely on potatoes and whole milk to maintain life and health. Because the nutritional composition of potato is very comprehensive, the nutritional structure is also more reasonable, but the amount of protein, calcium and vitamin An is slightly lower, and this is just supplemented with whole milk. Potato tubers are rich in moisture, low in fat and low in calories per unit volume. They contain about 4 times as much vitamin C as apples, 4 times as many B vitamins as apples, and several times to dozens of times as many minerals as apples. Potatoes are blood pressure-lowering food. More or less nutrients in the diet can cause disease. By the same token, if you adjust your diet, you can "eat" the corresponding diseases.
Potatoes have anti-aging effects. It is rich in B vitamins such as vitamin B1, B2, B6 and pantothenic acid, as well as a large amount of high-quality cellulose, as well as trace elements, amino acids, protein, fat and high-quality starch.
Potatoes are rich in dietary fiber and some data show that they contain as much dietary fiber as apples. Therefore, the gastrointestinal absorption of potatoes is slower, after eating potatoes, stay in the intestines for much longer than rice, so it has a more full feeling, but also can help take away some oil and garbage, with a certain role of defecation and detoxification.
Potatoes are carbohydrates, but their content is only about 1 inch 4 of rice of the same weight. Studies have shown that starch in potatoes is a kind of resistant starch, which has the effect of reducing adipocytes. At the same time, potatoes contain almost no fat, and 100g potatoes contain only 0.2g fat.
Potato is a very good high-potassium and low-sodium food, very suitable for edematous obese people to eat, coupled with its rich potassium content, almost the highest in vegetables, so it also has the effect of thin legs.
Eight measures to increase the yield of potatoes
First, drying seeds before sowing: drying potatoes before sowing can increase the yield by about 10%. 15-20 days before sowing, spread the potato seeds in a sunny place in the courtyard and dry them in natural light. Generally, the thickness of the seed layer is about 15 cm. It is best to keep it at 12-18 ℃ during the day, no less than 0 ℃ at night, and turn it every 3-4 days. Second, cut into large pieces: the dried seed potatoes should be sliced 1-2 days before sowing. It is best to cut into large pieces of 30-40 grams, which can ensure adequate nutrients for the development of seedlings. Third, remove the small and weak buds: leave only one main bud, remove all the small weak buds and sow immediately, so that the main buds can be unearthed 2-3 days earlier and increase production by about 8%. Fourth, small whole potato seed: using the whole sweet potato as seed can increase the yield by more than 105 compared with the same size cut pieces. It is advisable to make seed potatoes of medium size. Fifth, soaking seeds in plant ash solution: take appropriate amount of plant ash, add water to make it liquid, soak the seed potatoes for 36 hours, remove them to dry and sow seeds. 6. Soaking seeds in rice vinegar: 3-4 days before sowing, take 200 grams of high-quality rice vinegar, 50 kg of water, soak the seed potatoes from time to time; fish out and dry and sow seeds 3-4 days in advance, increasing the yield by about 10% and 15%. Seventh, remove the buds: when the potato plant blossoms about 30%, remove the buds every 3-4 days, 2-3 times in a row, can achieve obvious yield-increasing effect. 8. Spraying paclobutrazol: when the potato plant is budding, 50 grams of 15% paclobutrazol per mu and 50 kg of water can be sprayed to prevent the overgrowth of the plant, accelerate the expansion of potatoes and increase the yield.
Reminder: potassium application to potatoes can increase production.
Potato is a potassium-loving crop, but at present, the application of heavy nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer in potato cultivation leads to a large consumption of potassium in the soil, the decline of soil potassium supply capacity and the imbalance of fertilizer supply, thus limiting the yield of potatoes.
Different soil conditions, potassium fertilizer varieties and fertilization period have different effects on the yield and quality of potatoes. The results showed that when the content of available potassium in soil was less than 100 mg / kg, the benefit of potassium application was significant, the yield of potato was the highest when potassium fertilizer was applied at the early budding stage, and the starch content and the percentage of large and medium potato would also be increased. When planting potatoes, on the basis of applying certain nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer, it is necessary to cover soil and topdressing potash fertilizer 1415kg per mu after hole application. Potassium sulfate is more effective than potassium chloride.
