Selection method of blueberry planting garden

The soil pH value of the garden site was 4-5.5, and the optimum soil pH value was 4.0-4.8. The content of soil organic matter is 8% to 12%, at least not less than 5%, the soil is loose, well ventilated, moist but without stagnant water. If the local rainfall is insufficient, an adequate source of water is needed. In order to solve the problem of stagnant water in summer, the strip platform field method can be used. After the garden was selected, the green manure was pressed and turned deeply one year before planting, and the suitable depth was 20~25cm, and the deep turning was ripe. If there are more weeds, you can spray herbicides one year in advance to kill weeds. The soil types that do not meet the requirements of blueberry should be improved before planting to facilitate the growth of blueberry.

The regulation of high soil pH value is an important factor limiting blueberry cultivation. High soil pH value often leads to iron deficiency, chlorosis, poor growth, yield reduction and even plant death. When the pH value is greater than 5.5, it is necessary to apply sulfur powder or aluminum sulfate to reduce the pH value. The application of sulfur powder should be carried out one year before planting or at least in the year of planting, but it generally does not work in the same year after applying sulfur powder, such as dark brown forest soil, 130g sulfur powder is needed to reduce 1 pH value per square meter of 15cm thick soil layer, and its effect can be maintained for more than 3 years. Other types of soil can refer to this amount. Spread the sulfur powder evenly into the soil of the whole garden according to the calculated application amount, and mix well with 15cm. If aluminum sulfate is applied, the amount of aluminum sulfate is 6 times that of sulfur powder. In addition, the soil mixed with acid peat and acid fertilizer covering sawdust and rotten bark can reduce the pH value. If sulfur powder and peat are used together, the effect is better.

Regulation of soil pH value too low when soil pH value is lower than 4, poisoning is caused by excessive heavy metal elements, resulting in poor growth and even death of blueberries. At this time, it is necessary to increase the pH value, which is often adjusted by lime. When the soil pH value is 3.3, the application of 8t lime per hectare can increase the pH value to more than 4 and increase the yield by 20%. Improve soil structure and increase organic matter when the content of soil organic matter is less than 5%, due to the cohesive weight of the soil, and blueberry is the root system, which is not conducive to root development, it is necessary to increase the application of organic matter or river sand to improve the structure. Sawdust, peat, rotten bark or moss are commonly used and mixed with soil when planting.

Planting method of blueberry

The main results are as follows: (1) planting period: it can be planted in both spring and autumn, in which the survival rate of autumn planting is high, and spring planting should be early.

(2) Row spacing: 2 m × 2 m or 1.5 m × 3 m for rabbit eye blueberry, 1.2 m × 2 m for high clump blueberry and (0.5 × 1) m × 1 m for dwarf blueberry.

(3) pollination tree configuration: rabbit eye blueberry self-flowering is not true, must be equipped with pollination tree, high clump blueberry varieties can be selected. High-clump blueberry and dwarf blueberry have higher self-setting rate, but the configuration of pollination trees can also improve fruit quality and yield. The proportion of main varieties and pollinated varieties 1 ∶ 1 or 1 ∶ 2 was adopted in the configuration.
