Last Updated: 2024/11/06, First, sow seeds at the right time. Buckwheat has the characteristics of sowing early three days without seed and late sowing three days of frost killing. Practice has proved that the sowing time of buckwheat in our county is the end of August and the beginning of September. Buckwheat cotyledons are large, with slender roots, and the soil should be crushed. Sow in warm water at 3040 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.

One is to sow seeds at the right time. Buckwheat has the characteristics of "early sowing three days without seed, late sowing three days frost killed". Practice has proved that in my county buckwheat sowing period is the end of August early September. Buckwheat cotyledons larger, slender roots, should be broken soil, sowing after 30--40 degrees Celsius warm water soak for 10 minutes of healthy seeds, sowing 5 kg per mu, and covered with shallow soil about 3 cm. In this way, it can not only improve the germination rate, promote early emergence, but also grow neatly.

Second, increase fertilizer application. The yield of buckwheat could be significantly increased by increasing phosphorus and potassium fertilizer application. According to the characteristics of buckwheat growth period, it should be based on base fertilizer, 750--1000 kg organic fertilizer, 15--20 kg phosphate fertilizer and 30 kg plant ash per mu.

Third, do a good job in field management. Buckwheat field should be opened a good ditch system to prevent damage to seedlings. In case of drought after sowing, wet irrigation shall be carried out to ensure the whole seedlings; if there is no irrigation condition, watering shall be carried out in the morning and evening before emergence to increase moisture and fertilizer, so as to facilitate the healthy seedlings. Buckwheat seedling growth slow, easy to grow weeds, in the seedling height of 6--8 cm to intertill weeding, and eliminate weak seedlings. The second time before flowering, and shallow soil cultivation, in order to promote root development. During the flowering to fruiting period, 0.5 kg urea and 200 g potassium dihydrogen phosphate are dissolved in 60 kg water and sprayed 1- 2 times per mu to prevent late defertilization and premature aging.

Fourth, auxiliary pollination. Buckwheat in the natural state, the seed rate does not exceed 20%. Therefore, in places where conditions permit, bees are used to pollinate during flowering, or 2- 3 times of artificial pollination. The method of artificial pollination is to use a nylon rope, two people hold one end, let the rope gently drag over the top of the plant, so as to vibrate the flower, promote the pollen to disperse, so as to vibrate the flower, promote the pollen to disperse, and carry out pollination.
