Pu peach has strong adaptability, can be planted in all kinds of soil, grows mostly in waterside and river valley wetlands, and grows well on sandy soil, preferably in fertile, deep and moist soil.

I. Regional selection

Sufficient light, high-temperature and humid environment, the soil is fertile, loose, moist, thin soil to apply more organic fertilizer. The construction of the garden should be leeward, and the slightly acidic sandy soil is the most suitable, and the sandy soil from slightly acidic to slightly alkaline (pH5.5-7.8) to red soil is suitable. Avoid frost and be afraid of drought. The condition of large temperature difference between day and night is beneficial to the improvement of fruit quality.

Second, the cultivation season

It can be planted all the year round (tropical areas), and it is most suitable to be planted at the beginning of the rainy season, but if there are irrigation conditions, it is better to plant when the temperature rises.

3. Selection of seedlings

Seedlings generally require the selection of one-year-old container seedlings or bare root seedlings bred by improved varieties, and seedlings with a height of more than 50 cm, well-developed roots, no diseases and insect pests, no mechanical damage, and strong seedlings.

IV. Setting up a garden and planting

Dig holes with length and width of 1 meter and depth of 0.5 meters, planting specifications of 2.5 meters × 4 meters, that is, 66 trees per mu, to be thinned after the crown is handed over. The planting specification after thinning is 5 m × 4 m, that is, 33 plants per mu.

1. Bare-root seedling planting

It is usually carried out on cloudy and rainy days when the cave soil is wet in spring. The branches and leaves of seedlings should be properly cut off before afforestation, and the roots should be properly trimmed according to the situation; before planting, the seedlings should be protected by yellow mud mixed with a small amount of phosphate fertilizer and rooting powder (such as GGR-6), and planted in the hole or against the inner wall of the hole, which requires deep planting, root relaxation, trampling, straightening, not nesting roots, not returning to the mountain, and covering the soil after planting, and the planting should be completed before March. But also pulp root (application), choose to plant in overcast and rainy days. When planting, it requires comfortable root, compaction and proper deep planting.

2. Nutrition bag seedling planting

It usually takes place in the spring. Soak the nutrient soil through water before planting, gently press the nutrition soil with one hand, tear off the nutrition bag completely with the other, plant in the hole or close to the hole wall, deep planting and compaction (pay attention to the edge of the nutrition soil ball when pressing. Do not crush the nutrient soil ball), plant straight, keep the nutrient soil intact, and then cover the appropriate amount of loose soil.

V. maintenance and management

1. Moisture

There is no need to water before budding, if the rain is poor, water can be watered once 10-15 days before emergence, and the ground temperature can be increased by ploughing in time, watering once after seedling emergence, squatting seedlings properly, ploughing frequently, watering once after bud, entering tuber stage after flowering, soil moist state should be kept, drought should be watered frequently, generally, water should be watered once within 1 week after flowering, and stop watering 5 days before harvest.

2. Fertilization

If the fertilizer is sufficient as required, the growth period is generally no longer topdressing, such as insufficient base fertilizer, then topdressing should be mastered early to prevent overgrowth, urea or diamine 10kg should be applied in the seedling stage, if there are signs of overgrowth, it can be foliar sprayed with 500x dwarf. The furrow application method should be adopted for topdressing 3-4 years after planting, and 0.1-0.2 kg compound fertilizer should be applied to each young tree.

3. Cultivation

Soil loosening and weeding were carried out continuously 3-4 years after planting according to the growth of seedlings. The specific method is, according to the growth situation, tending should be carried out at the right time in the first and second half of each year, and the weeds and miscellaneous irrigation should be chopped with a knife or shoveled with a hoe in the belt or around the hole (generally within the range of 1 meter by 1 meter around the hole) without pressing the green, and the weeds chopped or eradicated will be cultivated in the roots of the young trees, and the soil will be loosened and cultivated around the young trees.

When the growth is differentiated, thinning and tending should be carried out reasonably according to the growth situation and cultivation purpose, and the thinning intensity should be between 10% and 15% each time. Care should be taken not to damage the retained seedlings during thinning.
