Environment: orchids are generally placed in the open field in spring, summer and autumn (shaded in the open field in summer) and indoors in winter (with plenty of light). Light: avoid direct sunlight in summer and too dry in autumn. Fertilization: during the growing period, mature bean cake water, horseshoe sauce residue water, potassium dihydrogen phosphate and so on are poured every half month. No fertilization is applied in summer, and the foliage is often sprayed with clean water. Watering: dormancy in winter does not require much water, basin soil can be slightly wet.

With the improvement of people's quality of life, people continue to improve their living environment. They like to raise plants such as flowers and plants at home, which is not only pleasing to the eyes, but also plays a key role in air purification. Let's talk about how orchids are planted.

Orchid planting methods and matters needing attention

Water is the source of the life of orchids. First of all, water is an important component of the protoplasm of orchids. The water content of the protoplast of orchid plant is generally more than 80%. If the water content decreases, the life activity will be affected. If the protoplasm loses too much water, it will cause the destruction of the protoplast and lead to the death of the plant. Secondly, water is the raw material in the metabolic process of orchid plants. Assimilation and alienation in orchid plants require the participation of water molecules, such as photosynthesis, respiration, hydrolysis and so on. Thirdly, water is the medium of metabolic process of orchid plants. Only when the nutrient elements in the cultivation medium are dissolved in water can they be absorbed by the orchid root system, and various metabolites must be transported to all parts of the orchid plant along with the water.

Water can keep the orchid plant in its inherent shape. Only when there is a large amount of water in the cells of the orchid plant, can the cell expand, the plant stand upright, and it is easy to accept light and gas exchange. Once the orchid plant loses water, it will wilt. Water can regulate the body temperature of orchid plants. Water not only has high vaporization heat and specific heat, but also has high thermal conductivity, which is beneficial for orchid plants to maintain body temperature and emit heat, and to water orchids. One of its important functions is to regulate the body temperature of orchids. In a word, water is the source of orchid life and the foundation of orchid growth. properly meeting the water needs of orchid plants is the most important condition for orchid growth.

What is an orchid?

Orchids, also known as Huji flowers, are perennial herbaceous flowers. There are many different varieties, such as Cymbidium, Cymbidium, Jian Orchid, Cold Orchid, Cymbidium, Spring Sword, Lotus Petal Orchid and so on. In fact, these are all varieties of Chinese orchids. Because orchids are native to China, we also collectively call these orchids "Chinese orchids". However, by definition, orchids generally refer to orchids with ornamental value, which are usually divided into two categories: Chinese orchids and foreign orchids. But at present, Chinese orchids are common, so we mainly introduce this category. Since ancient times, Chinese people have regarded orchids as the representative of elegance. Because they are endowed with the characteristics of nobility and elegance, ancient and modern Chinese people think highly of them, and we usually refer to them as "gentlemen in flowers". The cultivation techniques of orchids are not complicated. Below, the author explains the common cultivation methods and main maintenance techniques of spring orchids.

Orchid planting technique

Site selection: the place where orchids are placed is very important, which directly affects the growth and development of orchids. Orchids are generally placed in the open field in spring, summer and autumn (shaded in the open field in summer) and indoors in winter.

It is best to be open and moist outside. There should be plenty of light in the room, preferably facing south. In this way, it is beneficial for orchids to grow. The orchid basin had better be put on the wooden frame or table, not on the ground.

Lighting conditions: there are four precepts for planting orchids, that is, "spring does not come out, summer does not come out, autumn is not dry, winter is not wet." The temperature is not very stable in spring, so it is easy to get cold when you leave the house too early. It is safer to check out in early April. In summer, orchids should be placed in the shade to avoid direct sunlight and be nurtured by scattered light. Autumn is the period of orchid sprouting and pulling arrows, and the basin soil should maintain the corresponding humidity to avoid being too dry.

Fertilization method: in the orchid growth period, with rotten bean cake water, horseshoe sauce residue water once every semimonthly. The effect is better if an appropriate amount of potassium dihydrogen phosphate is added. No fertilizer is applied in hot summer. When the temperature is too high, in addition to watering every day, spray water several times, with slightly acidic water is appropriate. Often spraying the leaves with clean water can not only improve the growth environment, but also keep the leaves clean and reduce the chance of infection of diseases and insect pests.

Watering method: orchid root is fleshy, dormant Lang in winter does not need much water, basin soil is slightly wet, not too much watering, so as not to sprout root and leaf diseases. The flower proverb says, "dry orchid and wet chrysanthemum", which has a certain degree of truth. Generally speaking, it is best for orchids to be eight minutes dry and two parts wet. When the leaf buds of orchids extend about 1.5 cm from June to July, thin and rotten liquid fertilizer can be applied for 1-2 times, but chemical fertilizer is not suitable here.

But it is not suitable to apply fertilizer in the hot season. From August to September, 1-2 times of mature and thin liquid fertilizer were applied. The plant ash extract of vegetarian orchids can be applied for 1-2 times, and the effect is very good. The best time to fertilize is in the evening, and water again the next morning. The flowers of Chunlan need to be cut off after blooming for about half a month. The flowers of Chardonnay are cut off when the last one on the inflorescence blossoms for a week.

Matters needing attention in watering orchids

1. First of all, pay attention to the water temperature. Do not use cold water to irrigate in winter. The water temperature should be close to the room temperature. It is advisable to use 8 mi 10 °C. Do not use hot water to irrigate in summer, such as using a water tower to store water, it is necessary to prevent excessive water temperature from harming orchid plants and orchid roots, the water temperature should not exceed 25 ℃ 28 °C, and should not be suddenly irrigated with cold water to avoid damage to orchid plants.

2. Secondly, pay attention to humidity. When the air humidity is too high, it should not be watered or sprayed when it reaches 90 / 100C. During the day, the humidity should be 70mur90. Too much humidity will weaken the role of the root in absorbing water, affect the number of roots, and make the orchid plant lose its original power.

Third, we should pay attention to protecting the new buds. During the period of new bud opening, it is appropriate to carry out root watering, and sprinkle and spray water as little as possible, otherwise water irrigation will cause waterlogging rot and cause loss.

4. Be careful not to pour half a section of water. Some people mistakenly think that orchids can not be watered more, so they do not dare to water, often water half of the water, the pot material is wet and dry for a long time, causing the roots to dry up due to lack of water.

5. Pay attention to less static water. When the water tower stores water for too long, the water molecules form chains, and the longer the time is, the more difficult it is to disassemble, and it is difficult to participate in metabolic activities. Sixth, we should pay attention to pouring "soul water". After fertilizing in the evening, the orchid plant can effectively absorb most of the nutrients through the absorption of one night. At this time, it is most in need of water, just like a person drinking tea after a meal, so it needs to be watered with "soul water" the next morning.

As mentioned above, although the vitality of orchids is relatively tenacious, it still needs careful care and can not be careless. after all, plants are relatively fragile. Planting orchids has a good effect on air purification, and orchids are one of the top ten famous flowers in China, especially pleasing to the eye.
