Lemon taste bitter, low calorie, have calming, diuretic, pain-relieving effect. It is a kind of drink that many people often drink in their lives. Lemons are most suitable for growing in warm places, so it is not suitable to grow lemons in the north, but only in the south. The yield of lemon is closely related to planting management.

How to grow lemons

1. Pingba garden: to build a lemon garden with paddy fields, water should be released from high ditches along the slope to dry the fields. After the soil is whitened in the coming year, according to the fixed point of planting, the steamed bread-shaped mound is 40cm high and 50cm high, and the diameter of the bottom of the pier is about 1 meter.

2, slope construction garden: slope construction garden can be adopted to build contour terraces, contour trenches or fish-scale pits to solve soil fertility and soil and water conservation, contour terraces are suitable for slopes with a slope of 100-25 degrees, contour trenches are suitable for slopes with a slope of 6-100, and fish-scale pits are suitable for steep slopes and complex terrain where it is difficult to build horizontal terraces or contour trenches.

3. Lemon planting: the planting density should be 3 × 4 meters and 55 plants per mu. The planting period is generally in spring and autumn, and transplanting in autumn should be carried out from September to October. Before planting, dig planting holes with specifications of 60 × 60 × 60 cm, apply organic fertilizer 30kg / kg, calcium superphosphate 0.5kg / kg, or mature human and animal dung water more than 20kg, mix fertilizer with soil, and cover soil to make a planting pier 20cm high. When planting, remove the grafting film, trim the injured roots, cut off the long main roots and tender late autumn, and so on. Make a small nest on the planting pier, put in the seedlings, cover the soil while trimming the roots, gently lift the seedling roots, and gently press the soil, so that the roots are closely connected with the soil. The planting depth should be consistent with the mud marks in the nursery stage, the root neck should be exposed to the ground, irrigated with fixed root water, and covered with straw, straw, green manure or plastic film to keep warm and wet.

The growing environment of lemon

Lemon is suitable for growing in the south. Lemon likes warmth, shade tolerance, cold tolerance and fear of heat. Therefore, it is suitable to be cultivated in subtropical areas where winter is warm and summer is cool. In areas with warm winter and small annual temperature difference, lemon is suitable for annual average temperature of 17-19 ℃, greater than or equal to 10 ℃, annual effective accumulated temperature of 5200-6500 ℃, January average temperature of 6-8 ℃, extremely low temperature greater than-3 ℃, and annual rainfall of 1200-1500mm. An area where the annual sunshine hours are more than 1200 hours. In the areas where the annual average temperature is less than 17 ℃, the areas with short-term-5 ℃ low temperature and periodic freezing injury are not suitable for open field economic cultivation. The requirements for soil and topography are not strict, and flat land and hilly sloping land are suitable for cultivation, but the slightly acidic soil with deep soil layer, loose soil, rich organic matter, strong moisture and fertility, good drainage, low groundwater level and pH 5.5-6.5 is the best.

Fertilizer and Water Management of Lemon

In the first and second year after planting, nitrogen fertilizer was applied as topdressing to promote the formation of tree crown, but later nitrogen fertilizer should be controlled and the application of calcium magnesium phosphorus compound fertilizer should be increased. The application of organic fertilizer as base fertilizer in autumn, combined with extra-root topdressing during the growing period, can strengthen tree nutrition and promote flower bud formation, flowering and fruiting. The fertilization of lemon fruiting trees focuses on the period from flowering to fruit expansion and autumn shoot emergence. Fertilizers can be applied with rotten bran fertilizer or human feces and urine, and urea and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are often applied according to the growth situation. Topdressing uses the method of applying more thin fertilizer, that is, many times, a small amount, to prevent loss; lemons are not resistant to drought should be watered or irrigated in time.

The pruning method of lemon tree

1. Shaping and pruning of young trees. Young lemon trees should draw long shoots, and after the shoots are produced, they should be tender shoots, except for keeping 8-10 pieces of coring for the long shoots. It is appropriate to leave a length of 20-25 cm, enrich the strong crown, early branch, more branches, pay attention to less main branches, more branch groups, open distance, so as to expand the crown as soon as possible. Promote young trees to form crowns and bear fruit early.

2. Shaping and pruning of the first fruit trees. Give priority to light and long growth, pay attention to the cultivation of excellent fruiting mother branches, maintain enough flowers every year to increase yield. Pruning should be combined with the cultivation of tree shape, continue to configure secondary main branches and lateral branches, and the method of pulling and supporting should be adopted for the vigorous growth of upright branches. The trimming mouth should be smeared with healing and anti-corrosion film in time to protect the wound from fast healing and isolate bacterial infection.

3. Shaping and pruning of densely planted trees. In the first few years of lemon dense planting, pruning should be light, mainly wiping off summer shoots to protect fruit, promoting autumn shoots as fruiting mother branches, and cutting fruiting branches in time. Spraying intelligent control and promoting flower king on the top tips of prosperous trees can restrain the excessive growth of branches, force the top shoots to return a large amount of exuberant nutrition, regulate the growth and nutrition matching of fruit trees, and promote flower bud differentiation.

If lemon trees want to grow well and have high fruit rate, late management is essential. Generally speaking, it only needs to be fertilized twice a year in summer, winter and spring. Lemon has a lot of ways, and there are many benefits. As long as you cultivate it attentively, I believe the benefits brought by the later period are also very considerable.
