Planting: it should be planted in June-August, cloudy or sunny days. Management: water should be drenched and kept warm in drought after planting, drainage should be timely in the rainy season, and weeding should be actively covered on weekdays. Fertilization: mainly apply post-fruit fertilizer, flower-promoting fertilizer, Xiehua fertilizer and strong fruit fertilizer.

Mango is rich in nutrition, unique taste, can often eat beauty, anti-hypertension and other effects, deeply loved by people. Mango trees have strong adaptability, easy growth, high yield and large annual sales, so more and more people grow mangoes in recent years. So how to grow mangoes?

How to grow mango

1. Garden selection: mango orchard requires that the soil layer is thicker, the soil quality is not easy to solidify, there is no stagnant water, and it is close to the water source, so that it can be irrigated to ensure a bumper harvest during spring drought.

2. Planting density: according to climate, soil fertility and varieties, the planting specifications can be 4 meters × 4 meters, 4 meters × 5 meters and 5 meters × 6 meters.

3. Planting: the suitable planting time is from June to August every year. Choose cloudy or sunny days for planting, when planting, put the seedlings into a pre-prepared planting hole and then return to the soil, when planting bags, plastic bags must be removed before planting.

Pot planting method of mango

1. Prepare a standard planting soil in the flowerpot, then bury the seed half in the soil, and the germ end of the seed goes down into the soil, so as to facilitate the germination of the seed and protect the germ from being bitten by ants or snails.

2. after planting, put the flowerpot in a warm, humid and sunny place, pay attention to take care of and keep the soil moist. Under the right conditions of normal temperature and humidity, you can see that the top of the seed begins to sprout five or six days after planting, and grows day by day.

Environmental requirements of mango

1. Temperature: mango likes warmth and is not resistant to frost. The optimum temperature for growth is 25: 30 ℃, which grows slowly below 20 ℃. Leaves and inflorescences will stop growing below 10 ℃, and nearly ripe fruits will suffer cold damage. The effective temperature for growth is 18-35 ℃, the optimum temperature for shoot growth is 24-29 ℃, and the daily average temperature for fruit setting and young fruit growth is higher than 20 ℃.

2. Illumination: mango is a light-loving fruit tree. Sufficient light can promote flower bud differentiation, blossom and fruit setting, improve fruit quality and improve appearance. Usually, the single plant in the sunny or open environment of the crown blossoms more, the fruit setting rate is high, there are too many branches and leaves, the crown is closed, the mango with insufficient light blossoms and bears less, and the appearance and quality of the fruit are poor. Through shaping and pruning bentgrass, the light conditions in the garden and trees can be improved to increase the yield and prolong the high yield period.

3. Moisture: mango grows well in the area with annual rainfall of 700mm to 2000mm, and the uneven distribution of annual rainfall in South China often affects the growth and development. In the florescence and early fruiting stage, if the air is too dry, it is easy to cause falling flowers and fruit, and too much Rain Water leads to rotten flowers and poor pollination and fertilization. rainfall in summer is too concentrated, which often leads to serious fruit diseases, and the autumn drought after harvest affects the germination and growth of autumn shoot mother branches.

4. Soil: mango has no strict requirements on soil, and mango can be cultivated in areas below 600 meters above sea level. However, the soil layer is deep, the groundwater level is less than 3 meters, good drainage, slightly acidic loam or sandy loam is better.

Orchard management

1. Irrigation and drainage

After planting, the seedlings need to be drenched and kept warm in the case of drought. Watering once every 7 to 10 days is appropriate to keep the orchard soil moist. Regular irrigation is needed during the flowering and fruiting period to ensure the moisture needed for flowering and fruit. If there is local stagnant water in the rainy season, it should be drained in time.

2. Ploughing, weeding and loosening the soil

The orchard requires weeding 4-6 times a year to keep the rhizosphere to weed. The shallow root circle should be loosened before late autumn to winter.

3. Coverage

Grass mulching can maintain water balance soil temperature, reduce the breeding of weeds, at the same time, increase soil organic matter, prevent consolidation, which is beneficial to the activity of root groups.

4. Deep ploughing and soil pressing

At the crown drip line, dig fertilizer ditches that are 80cm long and 150cm long, 40cm deep and 50cm wide. Each ditch is pressed into 40-50 kg of grass, 10-20 kg of soil fertilizer and 0.5-1 kg of superphosphate.

5. Fertilization for fruiting trees

① is fat after fruit. Mainly organic fertilizer, combined with deep ploughing to improve soil. Each plant should also be increased by 0.5 kg of available nitrogen fertilizer.

② fertilizes the flower. The flower bud differentiation period was applied from 11 to 12 months one month before flowering. Generally, ammonium sulfate or urea is 0.51kg / plant.

③ Xie Hua Fei. Add 0.5%-1% potassium hydrogen phosphate or potassium nitrate as extra-root topdressing when applying quick-acting nitrogen and potassium fertilizer or combined spraying in mango blossom.

④ strong fruit fertilizer. The fertilization time is from March to April every year. The amount of fertilizer applied this time accounts for 60% of the amount used in the whole year. The mixed ratio of N ∶ P ∶ K was 8 ∶ 1 ∶ 8. Combined with irrigation, it is beneficial to the water and nutrients needed for fruit expansion.

As mentioned above, the cultivation of mango needs to meet its environmental requirements. Mango is a tropical fruit, so the north is not suitable for planting. Mango potted plants are also very beautiful and generous. People who like to plant flowers at home can try to plant mango potted plants. While enjoying the planting process, it is also very beautiful, and it may even produce mangoes.
